    PG - Dame/Baldwin
    SG - CJ/Curry/Stauskas/Simons/Trent

That's not even counting Turner as a guard.

Nearly half our roster are guards, and only two of them are capable of running an offense. And the crappy part is that most, if not all, deserve playing time.

    Dame - no explanation necessary

    CJ - no explanation necessary

WB4 - I would love to see more of this guy. I think he has a lot of potential. I love his defense and his swagger.

Curry - The guy seemed to really click with the Mavs. 13 ppg on 48% shooting and 42.5% from three. Could be a very nice player off the bench.

Stauskas - honestly the only player from the group that I have zero interest in.

Simons - I want to see this kid get some minutes and grow.

Trent - I think he could contribute right away. He strikes me as an Allen Crabbe that actually has some fire and drive.

There's just simply no way we're going to have this many guards on the active roster. Especially since our front court seems so thin.

    Aminu/Collins? Swanigan?
    Nurk/Collins? Swanigan? Meyers?

    Trade coming soon?

Well if he does, there will be some here who have begged for him to be traded that will still be on NO's ass because then he would have lied... right?

I kinda hope you are right though.

Logic would suggest that but Neil is probably more likely to trade Trent for some old white guy like Korver.

you left Harkless and Layman off your list...both guys can play the 3-4
Layman Harkless Aminu Leonard Swanigan..Nurk..Collins....that's 7 guys....all can play in the frontcourt..7 players is one under half the roster...don't see the imbalance you infer here. Looks to me that we're gong to play a lot of small ball and run a lot more.

You don't see an imbalance when literally a third of our roster is 6'4 and under?

Harkless and Layman might be able to play the four in a pinch, but they're not power forwards. There's a reason why Aminu can handle that position and it's because of his length.

Furthermore, we lost our only dependable backup big man. Collins is a project. Biggie has shown zero evidence that he can play in the NBA. Summer league? Maybe. G league? Sure. Actual rotation minutes in the NBA? Nope. Meyers is our elder statesman in the front court for pete's sake.

We have 3 7 footers...Aminu has a freakish wingspan matching Nurks….no....I don't see it as imbalance...I see increased speed and better shooting....we lost Bazz...a shrimp...Connoughton..a tweener and Big Ed...and undersized center....the imbalance is not recognizing Mo and Jake as forwards who can step into that 4 spot....Turner is not small either....the Warriors didn't have much size over the last few years. We could have kept Pappa G and not signed Baldwin if you think a 4th 7 footer makes us balanced....we made the right choice....playoff time you need 9 rotation players...maybe 10...who sits on the bench is a practice body beyond that

There were* a lot of times when we played 3 guards on the court last year. I'd expect more of that.

Can we trade CJ and Meyers for LMA and DeRosen? Seems like a good trade for both. Or make it CJ and Aminu if you like. Is DeRosen blocked or can he be traded.

you're talking about player size...the topic is the Blazers roster if I'm correct ...if not I've stumbled upon the Nets forum mistakenly....why no mention of our 6'8 guys in your lists? I backed my opinion with our obviously improved speed and shooting....which is exactly what the Warrior have won a pile of rings from doing...we're trying to beat the Warriors, not the 90s Bulls right?

Since Riverman wants to point out Harkless as a power forward, here is a little more information about how our team did with Harkless at the 4.

172 combined minutes of Harkless at power forward last season.

16 wins and 28 losses with Harkless at power forward. That's a win% of 36. I definitely want to see more of THAT.

Because I'm talking about guards and bigs. Harkless is not a big and the numbers support me.

Wait, how is that going to happen? I thought standard Olshey complaint #2 was he falls in love with "his guys" and refuses to trade players he drafted.

Not knocking Dame at all but I can't see us running as a team with him as our point guard. He his player that don't like to push the ball most times.

If you listen to his comments about Trent he left open the possibility of using him as an asset in a trade. I don’t remember which interview it was, since he’s done like 40 in the past week. Might be the Jaynes one.
