Who would you like to see start, and what rotations? It's going to be different now that we have a legit starting Center.

The 5 I would like to see start are:

    -Dame
    -CJ
    -Nurkic
    -Harkless
    -Davis

We could do far worse than that. But can Davis play as a traditional PF? I hesitate to say Aminu, with his dribbling in the paint.

That wouldn't be bad starting 5 but I think they will stay with Vonleh at the 4. Then we got wait to see if Olshey does any more trades during the break.

    Dame
    CJ
    Harkless
    Vonleh
    Nurkic

Davis has zero upside. Vonleh is still an unknown quantity. We need to use the rest of the season to see if Vonleh is a potential rotation player.

We also need to start integrating Layman into the rotation. And we need to runs plays for Crabbe, Vonleh, Layman, Harkless, and Nurkic. We already know that Dame/CJ can score - now is the time to start developing the scoring ability of our other players.

Vonleh will continue to start. Or most effective starting 5 has been Dame, CJ, Turner, Vonleh, Plumlee

This. He may not be putting up huge stat lines, but Noah is looking like he'll be an NBA player for a while. He's not reached his maximum abilities, either.

If the Blazers lose to the Jazz tonight Lillard will be diagnosed with a bone spur in the ankle, have surgery and not play the rest of the season.

Shabazz will be our starting pg until newly signed Steve Blake works his way into game shape.

I agree with this. And I had actually forgotten about Vonleh. I too would rather start him than either Davis or Aminu.

    McCollum
    Lillard

    Anything else would be foolish

I can not see Nurkic and Davis on the floor at the same time. They both need to be under the basket.

Aminu is playing better off the bench. So leave him there. I am ok with the suggested line up with Vonleh unless we want to try to experiment with a Dame, CJ, Crabbe, Harkless and Nurkic starting 5........

Then give Layman Crabbe's "shooting" spot off the bench along with Aminu and Davis up front.

Vonleh needs to jumpstart his scoring...playing with Nurkic will allow him to shoot with more range and let Nurkic post up

Starting Davis and Nurkic means Leonard will get minutes at backup C. Start Aminu or Vonleh at PF and bring Davis in as back up C. Thus, no Leonard.

I like Davis and Chief coming off the bench in this one...have a front court of 22 year olds to start..Vonleh and Nurk...although Meyers will probably start again for this game

If Goldilocks could double his PER and play like a real NBA player, he would be perfect next to Nurkic.

Whatever keeps Leonard off the floor is what needs to happen. I support that!

Davis + Nurkic = No. They both need to occupy the same space offensively and would just get in each other's way.

Vonleh + Nurkic = FCOTF. I'd be cool with this, just to see how these young big men fit together.

Leonard + Nurkic = I'd like to see this. Remember, Meyers had his breakout 50/40/90 season when he was playing with Rolo. Maybe the attention Nurkic would draw down low would open things up for Leonard. His confidence is shot right now, and the mental part of the game seems to be what causes his struggles. And, even though both are big and look slow, it might not be a total disaster on defense. Nurkic is surprisingly light on his feet for such a huge man. He actually seems decent at defending the pick and roll. Worst case, we lose more games, which many around here view as a positive. So, why not?

I think Aminu should start and play big minutes.

    Dame
    CJ
    Aminu
    Harkless
    Nurkic

We might see if Nurk and Davis can play together tonight. More likely Nurk coming in for ML and Davis coming in for Vonleh.
