    Tolstoy didn't know any.

Man, I sure raise the level of this board. Cheering up all you suicides with Russian literature! How lucky you are to have me.

Hardly a day goes by when I don't realize this. Although I wasn't suicidal, Garbo always eases the pain of self-mutilation.

Missing the last two games is the luckiest thing that's ever happened to me.

When you're old, you don't feel suicidal. You just go take a nap.

    Especially if it's game time.

People have big highs and big lows with this team. Hasn't changed much since I joined just people are more vocal with the disappointment.

You know what's funny? We still have a 99.7% chance of making the playoffs, and we still have a 5% chance of winning the championship... Didn't we have less odds with the draft lottery? (Though, that wasn't the best either.)

Were still sitting very nicely but it wouldn't be a Blazer forum unless everyone goes nuts over a big loss or a big win.

True. It wouldn't really be the worst thing to not get HCA. I just want to make the playoffs and hopefully have a good match up (And hey, we don't do terribly against any of the top 4, save for the Clippers... well, and Houston. But OKC and SA I think we have a chance.)

The way we got back in this game, then lost, was, I don't have the words for it, it was heart breaking.
Our starting five when playing together was pathetic tonight, they were embarrassing. Would rather see Mo on the floor in the final minutes, Robinson too. They had to prove their heart in the final minutes and proved nothing, this could have been a huge comeback win instead was a loss that I think showed us we still don't have it. To win in the playoffs you need heart, you need to be able to win a fight, to be able to want it and get it. This team still don't have it.

You have possession with the game on the line, you've got to be cool, to be composed, we were nervous and predictable. Don't know what to do, let Lillard or Aldridge bail you out as usual, only problem the other team is ready for it. You need to play crunch time like it's just another possession, do your thing, take what the defense gives you, you have to be able to handle the intensity. we have great players, a very well assembled team but they have to grow up and grow balls before they're contenders. Need to take this loss to heart and get bigger, this is a game for men, especially at this point of the season. Need to prove they have what it takes mentally or this season will be remembered as a disappointment.

Those odds are just mathematical projections based on win/loss records to this point. Doesn't take into account remaining schedule, recent play, injuries, etc. Based on being 42-20 with a 6.5 game lead over 9th seed with 20 games to play. But, we have 1 win vs a +.500 team in 6 weeks. 1. And 10 of the final 20 games we play winning teams. If we go 10-10, Memphis would have to go 17-4 to tie us. I'd take 10-10 right now. I'm worried it might be 8-12 or 7-13. SO MANY CLOSE LOSSES since mid Jan., in which we had the lead in the 4th and couldn't hold on. I hope our psyche isn't damaged. We were so good at closing out games early in the season. Not a good way to start the trip last night. Horrible start, unbelievable comeback, seemingly on the way to a win, only to lose at the end. 2nd time this week that's happened. We'll see how mentally tough they are now. Forgive me if I'm a little worried.

Actually those % s are based off of SOS the rest of the way. The formula ESPN uses is based off of Hollingers ranking and are run based off of a simulation of the rest of the season run 1000 times.

LA took good shots down the stretch. He just missed. Batum took that AWFUL unnecessary 3 and Dame missed 3 crucial free throws. Yet we wanna assign blame to the guy was 30/17 for the night?

Lots of sorry clichés in this post. Aldridge and Lillard are our best players. You draw up plays for them in Crunch time. ESPECIALLY Lillard.

It's the last couple of months, not just one game.

well, if you ask Rudy, he ruined the forum as a token of revenge..

but seriously, I think it's some new posters who rubbed many people the wrong way, mgb's passing kind of made it less fun, the anger that some posters have against others, and truth be told, how often do groups not grow tired of each other/the forums they belong to?

There's fewer posts by an increasing # of posters.

I would include myself in that group, but I'm not that important..but you post less, mags barely posts at all, abm is gone, ed o is gone, minstrel is gone, and replaced with them are angrier people, more snarky people, and a lot of condescending posts.

You can only take so much of bumps of threads that have nothing to do with anything, the posts/threads that just turn into flame wars between people, the bi-polarity of the board and people being far too serious about stuff on here for only SO long before you just shut it down.
