I think he'll get somewhere around $20 Mil per year which is fine, but let's not get hamstrung by any more excessively long term deals anymore. ...I think there are also other teams than the Yanx who've finally realized how they handicap your future by over-extending players...wonder how the Angels feel about their contracts with Pujols and Hamilton right now?...the Dodgers payroll will eventually bite them as well, and they still have to make room to sign Kershaw and others. 6 years would be the best possible outcome i think. if 7 was make or break i guess the yanks might have to swallow it and hope the last year or two arent terrible. they will still get more good years than bad i think. i wouldnt do it if he wants 8, 9 or 10 years tho. no way.

He's a BETTER more skilled 2nd baseman than Pedroia--- AND a better all around hitter. How much does he want? I don't know. How long a contract will he be asking for?..I don't know He is surely one of the TOP players in MLB.
