Yeah...I wish Portland had a young point guard who attacked the hoop and drew a lot of free throws. If he could also play good defense, that would be a big bonus. ;)

it might have been but i think portland trying to make him a PG was also ridiculous. i also see much of the same traits in bayless and fear that they didn't learn from their mistake with JJ.

But that's the thing, we have a pass-first starting point guard, who when he does shoot, shoots from the outside.

There's no problem with that, BUT, everyone seems to think we need a PG to drive and shoot, we have that drive and shoot with Roy, but alas, he's always double/tripple teamed. So what does that leave us? empty. in the driving dept.

The biggest issue I see with our team is the 3. We need Martel to come back , or we need Batum to figure out how to get in and drive too.

It almost seems like we need Bayless to start with Roy and Batum because it'll take pressure off both of those players to get to the rim and have Blake stay with the 2nd unit to pass the ball to the runners (rudy, Tlaw, etc).

I leave Sergio out, because he takes too long to get the offense going and plays terrible D. (most of the time).

Of course my observations are just opinions. It's really crazy b/c we have all the little ingredients for what we need, sometimes we just dont have them in with the right groups, to me...
