Like i said before, Im glad they are going to lose....there no point pretending as if they are good, when they are not....at this rate, Brady Quinn here we come....
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Packersfan)</div><div class='quotemain'>wow he wasn't having too good of a day and then BAM 70 yards for a td. (you don't have a pic of Driver, he got a td earlier)</div> I just saw highlights of the Driver TD catch. To me, it appeared Driver was still juggling the ball as his knee hit. However, they could have called it a TD initially then Saban could have challenged (provided the ref saw the red flag LOL?) and have had it overturned. From what I've seen & deduced from following periodically (been out doing yard work... the joys of owning a home?) online, the better team is winning.

That I could live with. Now, you want BQ? What gives? LOL. Seriously, I'd rather haveAnthony Quinn over Brady Quinn. Other than Montana, what Notre Dame QB has done squat at the NFL level? Rick Mirer? Jarious Jackson? There is no doubt the phins suck this year. Mental mistakes & poor execution are the reasons for the less than stellar results. I can't help but think that the solution is something so simple that its being overlooked by everyone including me and Nick the great.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (DaPackersGb)</div><div class='quotemain'>To me it seemed like the ball was being held up by the Hands of Driver and the arm of a Phin player. </div> I don't disagree. Yet, I don't know that he had complete control... at that point, The DB has much "right" to the ball as the WR. Like the Heath Miller play in the opener, I really don't think this would have affected the outcome. The phins made too many mistakes and Green Bay capitalized. On the plus side, My brother is Packers fan. GB is my favorite NFC team. What? You expected me to say it was Detroit?
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (blackadder)</div><div class='quotemain'>Earlier, you wanted Joe Thomas. That I could live with. Now, you want BQ? What gives? Right now, I think only Oakland & Tennessee are ahead of Miami. I would go with Stanton Of Michigan State or even Ainge of Tennessee before Quinn, but that's just me.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (blackadder)</div><div class='quotemain'>Other than Montana, what Notre Dame QB has done squat at the NFL level? Rick Mirer? <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Beef)</div><div class='quotemain'>name me 5 schools that have produced 2 "Franshice" quarterbacks</div> disclaimer; I am not saying BQ is bad just that ND generates alot of hype that doesn't pan out more often than not BYU (Steve Young & Jim McMahon), Miami, Fl (Kelly & Kosar), Bama (Namath & Stabler), Stanford (Plunkett & Elway), and Washington (Brunnell & Warren Moon)... just for laughs Ole Miss (Archie and Eli Manning). The 1st three were easy. The others required some thought. If you look at the Geography, I had an advantage.

Thats a joke right? No to Washington 6.Archie never was, but Eli is....but thats still just one....so no to Ole Miss Im conceding 2....you will have to do better to get to 5....
I'd like to have BQ as a member of the Chiefs. After all, Ki-Jana Carter was supposed to be the NFL prototype of a Penn State RB, but Larry Johnson has broken that mold. Brady could be the next success story for all we know.
I'll have to dispute Jim Plunkett as a franchise QB. I actually remember his playing days and he wasn't a franchise QB. I went to look for his career stats to back up my argument and found this page. Plunkett lost his job in New England to Steve Grogan, who I always think of when I think of the Patriots during the 70s, then had a cup of coffee with the 49ers before leading the Raiders to the Super Bowl. What I didn't remember, that this page pointed out, was that Pastorini, who had been traded from the Oilers for Stabler, started the first five games for the Raiders during that Super Bowl year until he broke his leg and Plunkett took over. Jim Plunkett did a good job for the Raiders and deserves to be remembered fondly by their fans, but he wasn't a franchise QB. http://www.raidersonline.org/jim-plunkett.php

I could understand judging him if he were from similar systems, but he's not from the same system as past ND QBs. However, if Miami has the 1st pick then they should consider taking Joe Thomas with that pick.
Can we GET back on topic? The Packers won this game and then it leads to a topic about Brady Quinn...
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (DaPackersGb)</div><div class='quotemain'>Can we GET back on topic?
