    <div class="quote_poster">Quoting Rock4life:</div><div class="quote_post">Powerfoward? He's not NEARLY strong enuff to play PF big minutes but would've alternated between SF & PF similar to what Marion does. Have you even watched the guy play?

    </div>

    How are you going to tell me that I havent watched Gay play. Highlight reals are not everything. Just cuz he can dunk like Marion and finish like him doesnt make him Marion. Gay would NEVER EVER see minutes at the power forward position. Not even in phoenix. He is to thin and isn't the rebounder or the inside presence that is required. Gay is a penetrator that finishes. Like Marion, Gay can shoot the ball with a better looking shot and with more consistency, but Gay is stuck at SF or SG, BUT I will put anything on the line to say that Gay will never see a second at the power forward position UNLESS the team has fouled ouot so bad and they only have 4 players remaining to play in the game.

    Please, Gay is not near Battier strength-wise. Have you seen him play? Having him at power forward with TMac at small forward? We'll get eaten alive in the frontcourt. Even TMac might be stronger than Gay.

    Was that directed towards me? because I havent been a Battier at power forward supporter at all. I agree with you. My arguement was directed towards rock4life in the sense that Gay CANNOT play power forward at all.

    That was directed to Rock4life.

    He's DEFINATLEY gonna see time at PF sometime this year, being that teams are beginning to go small. He's 6'9 and very long, and if Stro can play PF Gay can play it too. He might get eatin alive only depending on how teams match up. If they're playin Phoenix, he'll definatley see time at PF.

    Don't worry he was referring to Rock4life, and that's me if you didn't know

    Gay doesn't nearly have the muscle to make it as a powerforward, even playing uptempo ball, which we probably won't because of Yao. In the NBA, he won't be able to rebound as well since he'll either get outmuscled or outjumped for the ball (this is Marion we're talking about). Swift has a lot more bulk and a more muscular frame compared to Gay's wirelike body structure at this point, so yes, if Swift can play powerforward, it doesn't mean Gay would be able to.

    The only reason Phoenix actually considered Marion at PF was because he was/is a great rebounder.

    Rudy Gay vs. Stromile Swift.

    It's quite obvious Stro's of a different body type. Shawn Marion's a better comparison in terms of size, but then again, Marion is a freakish rebounder.

    That's a college pic. I'm sure the guy has been in the weight room this offseason and gained some muscle. Those pics don't do ur point any justice either

    RUDY GAY is not playing any PF minutes for Memphis. They Have Stromile, Pau, and Hakim Warrick to play PF.

    Is it that much of a difference? I don't even see any. Not only is Gay too small to play power forward, he also has almost no post moves. Defensively, he'd get killed by bigger guys, not to mention on the boards. It's hard to see him boxing Tim Duncan out effectively. Hell, maybe not even Juwan Howard.
