He did admit to having troubles with alcohol well before the election, and before his election as governor.

And Hawaii was part of Kenya?

The best way to cut down these attacks is to turn around on the opposing candidate in a joking way, and make a similar claim about them, that is just whacko, and then have them whine, "That's not fair : ( ".

President Bush has dealt with drug issues as well. In addition to his open admission of alcohol abuse during his college years and a drunken driving arrest at the age of 30, Bush has also faced allegations of cocaine use.

But, unlike Obama, Bush has sidestepped the charges and remains obtuse on his history, calling his youth "irresponsible" and insisting he's made mistakes but offering no further details.

"As I understand it, the current (FBI background check) form asks the question, 'Did somebody use drugs within the last seven years?'" Bush said in a 1999 interview with the Dallas Morning News, "and I will be glad to answer that question, and the answer is 'No.'"

The Office of Personnel Management Questionaire for Public Trust Positions (which is what I think he is referring to) is slightly different. If I remember correctly, this form triggers an FBI background check without any further paperwork.

Question 21(a) reads, "In the last year, have you illegally used any controlled substance, for example, [blah blah blah]

Question 21(b) reads, In the last seven years, have you been involved in the illegal purchase, manufacture, trafficking, production, transfer, shipping receiving, or sale of any narcotic, stimulant, hallucinogen, or cannabis, for your own intended profit or that of another?"

Obviously, you could simply use an illegal drug without paying for it, and check the "no" box.

He said he'd have answered "no" because he hadn't done anything in the past 7 years.

To be honest, I was just curious whether he was correctly characterizing the question. When I thought about it further, though, I realised that there IS another form for reporting data triggering an FBI background check, that doesn't go through OPM. In some cases, you might undergo an FBI background check if you are neither a public servant, nor an applicant for a federal public servant position. I guess it is possible that the OPM form is used in those circumstances as well; who knows.

Look here, everybody!! Wasilla charged people for rape kits. It's just horrible. Don't worry about all those scandals Obama's involved in, and all the radical, anti-American people he hangs out with, and his Marxist ideas for changing this country. It's not important. THIS is important, damn it!!!

Yes, let's ignore this and start Obama fear mongering instead, Shooter.

I think I saw Barack Hussein Obama hurl a bomb at my house last night. I could be mistaken, but I'm pretty certain it was him. The man is clearly not fit to be president!

    Hello darkness, my old friend
Barack Hussein Obama being a terrorist is a lot less important than this.

Frankly, American presidents have been about as faulty as most American goods lately. That's why the US auto industry has been in trouble for a couple of decades. I'm interested to see what the secret Muslims can offer us in presidents. Might as well explore all the options...that's the free market way.

Alright, going with that here. If Obama was a secret Muslim, is it likely he was born in Kenya?

If so can we give him a chance and then pull out the birth certificate to get rid of him if he screws us over.

I mean this seriously now, if I had to choose between getting a heart transplant from an average American doctor who isn't the greatest in his field or a GAY MUSLIM ATHEIST NAZI PEDOPHILE surgeon who is the best in the world.......I would take the GMANP dude. :ghoti:

So, if Obama is the best choice for our future more power to him. It doesn't matter what I think because I am not going to vote anyway. So, choose wisely people.

It's pretty obvious that Obama was born in the Serengeti of Kenya. I mean, damn, have you seen those ears?

I wonder if there are more than 10 reported rapes in a town with 6K-7K population.

Well, yeah. Lots of outsiders make the mistake of approaching Wasilla. Think "Deliverance".

More than enough to bankrupt this little town.
