Sorry to hear this Wheels. I hope everything works out okay. My brother was diagnosed with prostate cancer a couple of weeks ago so I know what you're going through. He will be having surgery to have his prostate removed on July 7th. They caught it early so his chances are very good. Still, it lessens your quality of life unfortunately.

Best of luck. My cat Celia had pancreatic cancer, unfortunately it was discovered late since there were no symptoms until it was pretty far gone, and she was an old (18) kitty, so we had to send her to kitty heaven. Hope your grandma does better!

You are so fortunate your Grandmother is still with you. You still have time to talk and kid around and share stories.

Some people get hit by a bus or have some other fatal mishap early in life.

Count your blessings and make the most of them.

When people get on in years, company/companionship is what they crave. I have always found people older than myself to be more interesting to talk to, as they have lived in a time I can only vaguely imagine from their retelling of it.

My Grandmother was born in 1903 and lived to be 97.

I once asked her what was the most personally important scientific advancement in her lifetime, expecting it would be the telephone, automobile or something like that.

Without hesitation she said with great satisfaction "indoor plumbing"!
