a little fireworks is not what he did. Keep in mind, I had no role in him being banned, so it's not like I'm having to defend what I did or OK'd. I'm just online right now and incredibly bored.

I think there is a big difference in how Crandc and PapaG communicated in this forum. Crandc is very passionate about her opinions but she also explains why feels the way she does and why she disagrees with yours. Her responses tend to provoke further conversation and debate. I agree that the give and take may be heated but still there is an exchange of thought and opinion going on.

Not all the time, not every reply, but PapaG would many times just personally insult the person he disagrees with. There would be no attempt to explain why he feels a person's opinion was wrong or why he feels his position was correct. This kills the discussion/debate.

Perhaps not. I am but one, but I do occasionally like to make the one as fucking loud I I can and heard if possible.

But you do seem to find glee in having the man banned. Not a good thing in my view.

Well I am surprise by that view. I have seen both, all be it for a short time. It appears to me that some weenies have been offended and I suspect they jabbed the bear.

nope. don't find glee in it. Like I said, I had no say in it, and if you ask sly or nate, I've said that hopefully he can come back and be a productive poster again.

Why would I take glee (or happiness) in something on a message board?

We have all stepped over the line on occasion, and I would hope everyone receives a little leeway. But eventually, it just becomes too much to overlook. Hopefully, papag is watching football today and enjoying life away from this forum. Maybe one day he returns.

Good riddance. Am sure he'll be back, will play nice for a few weeks or whatever, and fine. But it's just an odd way to talk to people. One of those that would likely NEVER talk that way in person. And I don't mean in a you're going to get punched sort of way. Just that nobody acts like that in person. So why do it here? I understand others have their little tiny schticks here, and so be it. I don't get it, but fine. But, meh, whatever. Seemed like lately, a lot more so than before, later in the evening, so maybe after an alcoholic beverage or 3, he was just an abusive asshole. The flipping out in the trayvon thread, calling everyone white boy, shit like that. I think he's always been kind of a dick, personally, but lately, he gets to the evenings and I dunno, kids go to sleep, decides to pick fights on the internet. It's pushed me away from here some lately, because it tends to bleed from thread to thread. And, as has been mentioned, it wasn't always a big personal attack, but just the, you mentioned this once 3 months ago, so if I disagree with your response in this thread, I'll offhandedly mention it in a rude response.
It's not about a difference of opinions, like some want to say. It's presenting your opinion like an asshole.

I think a PM is like a valentine, or private lessons or something. It's like a love bug embedded behind your ear, whispering sweet nothings. I never initiate any. I respond to a couple per year to deflect my admirers and thwart their advances.

Sly, check mine and back me up on that.

So if he is banned here, is he also banned for the poker game?

This is true, jlprk only uses PMs as a way to flirt with men.

My conquests are vast. Only one remains. He reads this and knows who he is.

Everyone is complaining about PapaG's posting style. My read on his style was he pointed out absurdity with absurdity. He would get under people's skin by using language that was a mirror image of the language/political correctness that was being defended. Many didn't like it. As for me, it made me laugh.

I hope the banning is reversed.
