I don't think you can pardon someone UNTIL they've been convicted, or at least admitted guilt, so Cheney better request a fasttrack trial and confess before Jan. 20th.
Ford pardoned Nixon first thing he did when he got into office. The spectacle of a trial for Nixon would have distracted the govt. from doing its work.
I hope that torture is not only legalized, but mandatory treatment for any and all suspected terrorists. Then, we can put it on TV and make a killing in the redneck-reality TV market. Don't say that this won't eventually happen.
