kobe wont win. Though he should be a candidate in my opinion.

To many Laker fans make the team to be 99% scrubs and Kobe saving the day though, when actually there are playoff teams with worse rosters.

I was surprised Kobe couldnt make the playoffs with his team last year...getting two 15-8 players along side him, this year he's making up a little for his own failure. Still...i dont think the Lakers are doing much better than they SHOULD be doing, and i dont believe points scored is enough to give an MVP label away on.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting MUman:</div><div class="quote_post">Why do you insist on embarassing yourself? [IMG]

    Lightning round:

Averaging 5 assists sounds like a bloated figure for Kobe, give me your source on that one sport. Even if it's accurate, it's not much of an MVP figure (Nash more than doubles that).</div>

Again, you make yourself look stupid. Firstly, you want Kobe to win a championship to give the rest of his team confidence and now you want him to average 35 points and 10 assists to show his team he has confidence they can play. Wouldn't that be contradicting what you said before about Kobe having more faith in his teammates and giving the ball up more. By trying to get 10 assists aswell as 35 points, he would need to ball more than ever, hence his teammates not having the ball as much. Secondly, he's averaging 4.6 assists, saying "5 assists" is hardly bloated is it?

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting MUman:</div><div class="quote_post">The "sewer pipe" I spoke of was last year when the lakers WENT FROM THE FINALS TO NOT EVEN MAKING THE PLAYOFFS you tool!</div>

Well we lost all of our players part of the championship years apart from George, who happened to be injured for 75% of the season. Before you even mention it, it wasn't Kobe's fault, it was everyone's fault that Phil and Shaq left. Malone made up a pathetic excuse to leave when he realised he wasn't gaurenteed an easy ring when Shaq left. The rest left because of poor trades. We never got full value for Shaq anyway, we wanted Wade instead of Caron but Miami wasn't prepared to give him up. I'm sure we could have got T-Mac + scrap for Shaq as he said he didn't mind going back to Orlando. Again blame our GM for not making the perfect trade. So I guess all that reasoning makes you the tool.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting MUman:</div><div class="quote_post">And (once again) he can instill confidence in his team by giving them more chances to develop into decent players. That prolly means losing a few games since it usually requires a bit of trial and error but Kobe would rather win just enough games virtually single-handedly to get his team the 8th seed (and an *$$ whooping in the first round of the playoffs) rather than take the time to help his team develop. </div>

Were now in 7th spot so I guess your ideas keep on being valued to nothing.

    <div class="quote_poster">Quoting MUman:</div><div class="quote_post">I don't read ESPN. And you're a shame to the English language if you're a Brit.

    Enough of this. I'm out.</div>

I don't think you can find many grammar mistakes in my posts, I guess that makes you the embarrassment for making something up.

Enough of this, I've provided a clear arguement again, I'm done with you.

We didn't have any decent shooters on our team last season. When Kobe got double teamed and passed up, they couldn't hit the open shot. This season, we haven't improved hugely in that department but there is some improvement with Cook and George showing they can shoot the ball. The main problem was the D, Caron couldn't play D along with Chucky. We've traded the two and our points against has dropped by 5 points. We lost alot of games last season by a small margin. Last season we gave away 101.7 points, this season, we are giving away 97 points a game. Hence the better record. We have lost alot of games this season by a small margin, but many less than we did last season. As a result of the trade, we are now in the 7th spot hoping to make the playoffs.

Big spurs fan but i think either dirk or nash deserve it. Parker is the opposite of Horry and doesnt show up for the playoffs.
