"Project Pat:" there r a lot of holes in his game but there's definitely some promise to the guy; he appears coachable, smart, & coordinated enough to make improvements enough to be able to make some meaningful contributions. Will he ever b a star? I seriously doubt it but like I said, I think he CAN improve enough to b useful to us THE thing that bugs me the most about him currently, is the fact that he doesn't/can't go left; even if he makes improvements elsewhere, this is 1 thing about him that may never change; my hope is that since he's a 2-sport guy, seems like he should have it in him to eventually (ASAP of course!) fix this.
I guess when I look at Pat, I think, "If JJ Redick can carve out a long productive NBA career, why can't he?"
Not comparable. Pat had a nice college career, but J.J. Redick was a beast of a college player. When I look at Pat, I think, "if Luke Babbitt is still on an NBA roster....?"

I'm thinking he's hedging his bets that even if he flunk out of basketball he'll be able to salvage a baseball career..... which he might as a reliever. Hell never make it as a starter. You need at least three projectable pitches to make it as a starter. And it can take up to five years to achieve that, he's missed the boat on that one.
I think he's just building his brand. Lillard has rap. CJ has reporter stuff. Pat has multi-sportness.
