It's pretty clear that the reason you are talking about Oakland in this discussion is because you somehow got your feelings hurt. I can't understand why. We are in the NE forum talking about the upcoming game, last time I checked. Why not stay on topic? If you are so angry about someone staying on topic, then go take out your grief in the Oakland forum. Go ahead, go in there and rip them to shreds for all to see. No one will stop you.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (BearsFan1)</div><div class='quotemain'>1) I like how everytime bears face a quality opponent this it will be the new real test of if they are legit. 2) What does chicago going 13-3 several years back have to do with this season? Oakland went 12-4 several years back, i guess that proves they werent legit that they arent doing good now. FYI- there are only like 3 starters from that team still playing on bears now, a different head coach, different offensive and defensive scheme, so the point is actually completely without merit, and one of the worst arguments made in the history of all NFL discussions ever. 3) crushed Seattle by 31, no matter how much you want to believe that SA is worth 31 points, it simple isnt true.</div> 1) Coincidence? Or perhaps this time it is an AFC contender, particularly the NE patriots, a playoff regular. AFC all the way this year. 2) I summed the 13-3 bears in one phrase, which was supported by your cronie, "cupcake schedule". "They got a lot of luck breaks" This comparison is personell independant. I could have used a different team to describe the comparison, but I chose that bears team, as I knew that the audience would understand what I meant. It worked. Nice dramatic effect in your reply. hahahaha 3) I don't think I need to reiterate what it means to game plan around the starting players, and how that affects possession, points, yards, and ultimately the outcome of the game. I don't think that you can really dispute that not having your key play makers is going to have an negative impact on your chances. go back and read it again.

I am right. You are wrong, and you have no ammo to even make a case other bad comparisons to past teams, defending seattle with a 31 point blowout loss, and claiming that the fact that e1 on this board and in media wants to tear down bears so badly they make every game the whole season? Ok, i can live with that.

They lost to SF letting Gore run for 212 yards.. The only reason i said oakland is because E1 on the board would understand what i was getting at.. i could have used anyone but instead i used oakland.. Its fine if thinking my 9-1 team are pretenders.. i would rather be a 9-1 pretender then a 2-8 never was
The Bears have the better "D". The Patriots have a much better QB. I like the Bears WR's. Pat's have home field. Bear's win if Grossman plays one of his good games. I don't think he will. I'm taking New England.
ya know as much as i want to win this game... I am not sure if we do i really want to hear how we won due to bad pass interference calls
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>a know as much as i want to win this game... I am not sure if we do i really want to hear how we won due to bad pass interference calls</div> Well at least you admit they were bad calls. I know we got away with one early, but those were 2 very questionable calls. Then there was the non call on the pass to Chad Jackson which was the definition of face guarding. The Bears proved to be very tough, but the Pats made more plays in the end.
As far as the sig, it's not affective until after the season. So I still have time to think about it right BF1? :einstein:
I am glad we won but I feel sorry for Junior. I also feel sorry for the rest of the D for this week, depending on how they adjust to his absence. Did you guys notice the Bears rushing attack improving steadily after he left the game? He may be an old man by NFL standards but he has helped this team out a lot. I noticed that they moved Vrabel next to Bruschi and Banta Cain is now on the outside. He has shown a mean pass rush in the past, especially against the Vikings, so hopefully we won't miss Junior as much as I'm thinking we will.
The pass interference call along with the holding call were total BS. If the Bears had come back and won that game, it would have been very hard to look back and not point to two bad calls leading a crucial 7 points for the Bears. That being said, I think this game showed what we already know - the Bears are really, really good with a QB who needs to mature. Grossman has a ton of potential if he learns how to be cool under pressure. Also, for the first time ever, I think I actually enjoyed watching Brady play. Typically I'm just bored, but he showed some fun enthusiasm yesterday. Also, 5 turnovers from both teams? Are these really the elite teams of the NFL? This season may be one of those seasons where there are no super teams, just a bunch of mediocre teams.
The Bears are great at creating turnovers no doubt. I think we all knew that very well after the game against AZ. They gang tackle you & don't allow you to go down until they've had several swipes at the ball. It's a great strategy, but they do leave themselves open for the deep ball.
Well if losing creates respect.. then i will take it.. Chicago is a very very good Team.. Both teams cause turnovers very well.. thats why it turned out to be a turnover fest.. grossman needs to learn the big play isn't always there and the short route for 5 or 6 is a better option.. you have 2 recivers that can burn any DB in the league and a very good possesion reciver... throw the 5-6 yarder and let them create extra yards.. don't heave the ball 50 yards 90 times a game don't force it.. I belive throwing deep opens up a defense.. but not that much.. hats of to NE i really hope we see you agian soon for game 2
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (bakes781)</div><div class='quotemain'>Doesn't the offensive coaching staff for Chicago deserve some of the blame too?</div> yes and no.. they call the plays.. so thats their blame.. grossman throws a piss poor pass.. and doesn't hold onto the ball thats his fault
