I'm excited most about this game. I really think New England is back to an extent. I don't believe there as good as they were in previous years but they are still a threat especially with a hot hand in Tom Brady coming into the playoffs. Denver is being overlooked though. It seems as if everyone is picking New England to win. I think the Pats win but it's really a toss up.. New England has been vulnerable against the run and Bell and Anderson are the best duo in the league.. Should be nice in the primetime slot too.
18 players were injured for NE the last time they played. This will be a completely different game with the Patriots emerging with the win. They have the experience and Brady is a bad ass to say the very least about him. Lets not forget Belichick's ability to perform miracles either.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Steelerfan_2005)</div><div class='quotemain'>Of course, that's assuming you guys can get past Denver at home who is also a tough team in their home stadium.</div> Thats exactly why I put SHOULD in caps..because I'm definitely not going to put the pats winning as my lock of the week.

The pats have definitely performed some miracles in the last few years but I wouldn't consider winning in denver tomorrow night one of them. Both teams are looking pretty even at this point and should be a slugfest.
I keep hearing people say that the Pats will lose because of the "thin air" in Denver, lol. Its not like its Mount Everest.

There is a "tangible" and real effect. i.e. the density of the air is not as great, thus it requires a greater effort by lungs to pull in the same amount of oxygen that you would pull in at sea level. You can adjust, but not in a few days, so it is distinct advantage. I would go as far as to say, i think the homefield advantage is what will allow broncos to win this game
Well for my sake, I hope it doesn't make a difference. The game in October turned out to be close so I hope they can capitalize on that.
10-3 at the half, Broncos on top. We better stop fumbling the damn ball or we'll lose this one too. Hopefully the "chat" at halftime will do some good.
Wow, I didn't see this aspect of the game coming. I thought that having everyone back would make the difference, I didn't think that they would turn the ball over so many times. I'm not trying to make excuses because Denver is good and they more than capitalized on our turnovers, but that wasn't an ass stomping by Denver because we helped them out a lot. 24 points based on turnovers would help any team out. Oh well, good luck to the Broncos, Steelers, and Colts. I think I'll be rooting for the Colts from this point forward because they deserve it after feeling like the Pats do now for the past several years. On a side note, are we going to have pretty much everyone back next year or are we losing quite a few players?
Hey Patriots fans Welcome back to reality.. Did you have a nice trip. I know I would of.. Anyways I still think New England will make some noise this decade but like I said early this year 3 in a row will never happen.. in my opinion.

Next year, there will actually be some competition but not in the Empire State. Nudge. Nudge. Wink. Wink. Say no more.

I'm not sure if they can win the divsion with Gus Ferrotte or Jay Cutler but if they go out and find someone solid then yeah they'll be stiff competition.
I know you're all glowing that we were finally beaten in the playoffs, but if you think the dynasty is over you're sadly mistaken. Simply put the better team gave the game away. The better team held the #2 rush offense to under 100 yds combined. The better team netted over 400 yds of offense. Unfortunately for the better team they made too many unforced errors to overcome. Now I will grant the Broncos credit for getting Brady rattled enough to make the momentum changing play of the game. Bailey's 100+ yd INT return was a killer. As much as I wanted the refs to rule it a touchback I knew it was inconclusive. However it would've been justice for that horrific late flag on Samuels for pass interference. Not making excuses, the Broncos did what I expected & that was blitz early & often. I didn't like how Brady reacted to Lynch at the start. One of Brady's greatest attributes is his poise & I felt that showed a lack of it. He played right into the Broncos hands. The Pats D played outstanding IMO. The special teams however was a disaster. The Pats streak is over & it sucks. But ya know what it doesnt hurt as much as I thought it would b/c I know we'll be back next season. Normally I'd root for the team that beat us, but the Broncos didn't beat us we beat ourselves. Go Steelers!

A better team wouldnt make a bunch of unforced errors. They beat you, and handily. They were VASTLY better than patriots. If anything this game proved that patriots have taken about 5 steps back now from the various loses, and will probably have 8-8 to 10-6 seasons with no more than 1 playoff win a season for rest of brady's career.

So they get credit for taking advantage of our mistakes. Brady had a bad game & we still managed to out gain Denver by about 150 yds.

Wow, your eyes are glued the f*** shut if you think the Broncos are a better team than the Pats are. We gave the game away because of our mistakes, period. Sure, Denver was good enough to capitalize on them, but we still gave it away. The only thing the Broncos really earned themselves was that run back INT. Bailey picked Brady off and that was an awesome play by the Broncos. I've said it several times and I'll say it again: you'll see what we're talking about by "giving" it away when the Steelers play the Broncos. The Steelers won't give it away and it will be ugly for the Broncos in thier house. Kinda like the Marines storming a house in Fallujah, the Steelers will show total domination on Bronco turf.

Lets look at a couple things. 1) denver beat new england, not once, but twice. 2) Denver was good enough to be second seed and get bye, new england wasnt. 3) Denver is still playing, new england is at home eating clam chowder. Obviously the 2 losses, lower seeding, and not advancing as far in playoffs proves how superior patriots are to denver. How could i have been so blind
