I think this running game is going to be average, because teams gameplan to stop vick and then he hands it off and Vick goes one way and Dunn goes another and it splits the defenses because they dont know who has the ball.
I was wrong, Matt Schaub did a great job. I think he's got a ton of potential and I was confident in him but I wasn't sure how he'd do against the Patriots. He looked great out there, as well as Crumpler and Finneran. The running game was still decent without Vick not quite as effective because the defense didn't have to gameplan for Vick but it still worked effectively. The problem was the defense today, I don't know what was up with them at times. They gave up some HUGE plays. I'm disappointed that we lost but it was still overall a great game.
He looked pretty good. Viatieri does it again! Although it was "only" 29 yards, he never misses those last minute field goals!
Schaub will be a good NFL QB. He was a good QB when he was at Virginia, and as soon as he can free himself from his rookie contract, he will be starting for somebody.
Schuab did play well but man is our Secondary terrible..Asante Samuel is all alone out there..Duane Starks looked horrible and without Harrison it seems like our Safties have disappeared...this needs to be corrected in a hurry...but With no Seymore I thought we held up ok against the Run. As for the Offense they were pretty much unstopable at points which I was surprised...because I really like Atlanta's D. It was good to see Dillon get on track which is HUGE and our TE's finally reappeared in the Offense. Watching Bryan Scott try and tackle Graham on his long TD run was hilarious. Lets just hope our Offense can keep cranking it up because we'll need it until our secondary gets healthy and straightened out.
Pats won despite another pour defensive performance. The Vickless Falcons could have just as easily won this game. It was just a matter of who had the ball last. Even b4 this game I felt Atlanta D was actually OVER rated slightly. Now I know they are. Unfortunately the Pats D is just as weak at the moment. Nice to see Dillon get over 100, but he had to leave the game. Hopefully he's ok. Brady & the OL was masterful once again.
Schaub looked great for his 2nd start against the patriots. Mora might want Vick to take a couple extra weeks of recovery for Vick after Schaub's huge day. Then hopefully Vick would stay on the bench
Atlanta would be wise to trade Schaub in the off season for a high draft choice. I wished Green Bay would of taken a look at him but Rodgers is now are guy after Brett is gone. All in all there is no QB controversy in Atlanta. Whether you agree or not Vick is going to be the starter when he comes back. It's the Falcons call.
Vick will be the starter and rightfully so. Schaub is great as a backup QB for this team, and he may end up being traded and become a starter for some other team. I just feel Vick has that extra something that lifts this team up and helps them to win. The playmaking ability and leadership qualities that he has is a boost, and I have more confidence in him leading the Falcons at QB. Plus I still believe he's going to show off his great passing to compliment that incredible running ability. "MARK MY WORDS!" :cheesey:
He was back from the hamstring, now its a knee problem from the Minnesota game when their defensive lineman landed on him after a hit. That field goal was great, our punter has quite the leg on him.
Why was the punter kicking field goals? I saw it, New England were kicking themselves for calling that time out
He only kicked that one because our FG kicker doesn't have the leg to make a 58 yarder. Apparently we have a punter who can do some FG kicking as well, he's a rookie too.
