    Question: was he signed to a Blazers' contract that gave him insurance at the time? And whether or not he was, are the Blazers paying for the surgery? There has to be some kind of system for when Summer League players get injured on the job.

    As I said earlier, I actually think this means he WILL make the team, partly because it's much less likely he can get a job elsewhere. (A bit like how Batum made the team over Koponen, even though Koponen was more impressive in Summer League, because Batum refused to go to Europe.)
