You beat me to this. Was gonna go with collecting pop cans but the food drive works wonders. We could all stand on the corner with "Anything Helps God Bless" signs also.
That kind of looks like that has been going on for a bit at that point. Chris Paul was like "Stop that shit!" Then tried to get him back. Yes funny.

Totally, and I like what we did with bringing in Pau. He'll be a steadying force on the court and in the locker room. He knows about winning championships and dealing with big combustible personalities. And so on and so forth. And while Bender is only 21 (doesn't that seem crazy? I swear he's been in the league forever), we have enough unknowns on this roster with Skal and Simons and Zach and Hezonja and and and, that adding another seems like a recipe for disaster. Cue the Spaniard.
I mean, doesn't it give anyone pause that Milwaukee brought Gasol in for a similar role last year, watched him get injured in essentially minutes, and then elect not to re-sign him while brinign in another young big instead? The Pau experiment literally JUST failed, yet we think our environment will be better?
It's comments like this that make me question your negativity yesterday. Bender is awful. He's worse than Hezonja. Your argument is that we need guys to guard the LA teams yet Bender can't guard any of those guys either. Bender can't shoot, doesn't rebound, doesn't pass, doesn't handle the ball well, and doesn't play defense yet you'd be happy signing him? I'm sorry @illmatic99 but this just doesn't make sense to me. The only argument is that maybe being in Phoenix was a bad situation for him but he's just as likely to be the next Marquese Chriss than even a rotational player.
The only thing that gives me pause is injuries. It's not like players get more durable as they get older. Fortunately we don't need him to play significant minutes so I'm hoping we'll be okay there.
I wouldn't be surprised if Stotts uses him in a semi-coaching role. This team could use a little more playoff-tested veteran leadership.
Exactly what i'm thinking. This is a big man player/coach. And it isn't just Collins that needs one. Skal and Nurk also could learn a few things from a guy like Gasol. Heck there isn't a player on this roster that couldn't learn something from a guy in the league as long as he has been.
This point may be overblown but the last player who played for the Blazers with championship experience was Dorell Wright who was not even a major contributor in the year he won a title. If you look past Dorell Wright, you're going into the 1990s...
