If it was for the future, I would build around Pau. Who knows what to expect this year after Kenyon Martin's move into the west. I mean, I like Kmart's aggressive style of play but I don't know how much better he can become compared to Gasol's true potential. I mean you want your main guy to make everyone around him better, so I figure Pau is that low post presence for the future to make teams want to double team him. When or if he improves on defense, he'll be this quick, big obstacle to limit drives to the basket. Don't forget that on defense he's got the timing and length to block a lot of shots. He just needs to understand the game better and work on his footwork to gain positioning first in the low post and know when to help out on defense and cover the weak side. A tall, quick power forward that is 7'1 and keeps on improving every year physically is a potential franchise player imo. He has the fundamentals of decent passing and ballhandling, versatility, great touch around the basket in a faceup or back to the basket game, can finish with either hand, and has a number of offensive moves and drives to the basket. Pau Gasol just has to work harder and make better decisions and learn how to anticipate and then he'll get more love and be a real tough matchup. You gotta believe in Jerry West.

My pick would definitely be Gasol. He is better and I think he is also more exciting to watch. Jerry would have made a huge mistake if he traded Pau Gasol.

I like watching K Mart a bit more because of his energy and the way he snatches the ball outta the air. Pau is pretty good to watch too it's just that K Mart got more umph and gets higher so I get more amped watching him play. Just his shot is so ugly. Overall though I would take Pau over K Mart as well. Better offensive player and can go to during clutch situations.
Pau is better of course. Pau can put up alot more points than Kenyon and open things up for perimeter players when he's in the post. K Mart is a better rebounder and defender thats true but overall Pau is better. K Mart looks so good because he played alongside the best point guard in the league. Out West he's going to have a tough time. He wont dominate powerforwards like Amare Stoudamire and Carlos Boozer. Guys like Chris Webber(if he's healthy), Tim Duncan, Kevin Garnett, Zach Randolph, Dirk Nowitzki and yes Pau Gasol are going to give it to him everynight. And he wont have Kidd to throw up lobs on a fast break so he can stuff them in the basket. K Mart is going to get killed. Which is just fine by me. He helped bury my Knicks now he's going to get owned by Timmy. And at the same time the Nets slit their own throats. This was a great offseason for Knick fans.

They were one of the (if not the best) fast breaks in the NBA last year, which will suit Kmart perfectly. Andre will shut your mouths up, just watch.

I think Miller is an extremely underrated point guard but he's nowhere near as good as Jason Kidd. Denver was the best fastbreak team this year your right. I was just trying to say Kmart only looks so good because he had Jason Kidd throwing him lobs and that he wouldnt perform well in the West.
