There isn't really a consistent pass rush so it feels like we give up a lot of 3rd and longs. However, when Bennett, Avril and co. come to play it's pretty much lights out. Offensive line looked improved but I'm not sold yet.

Oh and ET at punt returner... Awful, just awful.

The demolished the league's the best offense ever in the SB :dunno:

First team since the 85 Bears to lead the league in pts allowed, yards allowed and turnovers

They already have a championship and they're on their way in contending for another one. They seem to be on their way to claiming a spot as one of the best ever, but it's a tad early. I say tad because they already have hardware that says they were the best team for one season.

This will continue to play out and we'll see, but I think Seattle will make a good case at the end of their run

    Yet

Only 1 of 2 QB's last season to have a 100 QB rating inside and outside of the pocket last season. The other way Peyton Manning.

He's an elite player in his third season

Which teams from the past would you put up as historical best that didn't really have to compete?

LOL at demolishing the "best offense ever". They Broncos were overrated as much as you underrate Batum.

Being a Niners fan, it's hard to beat that starstudded 1994 team. That team would destroy most any team today. Yet, there are quite a few teams teams in history that would beat them.

I understand the C-awk blatant homerism, though, being a Blazers fan.

    Hmm

Yup, that was a pretty weak argument by you. Not convincing at all

    Try again.

I think it could be argued that any advantage that SF team had over Seattle's offense was about equal to the advantage Seattle's defense had over that team's defense.

Yeah, as "strong" as your post based on one game.

It's cool. Not hating. As many Blazers fans accept and acknowledge, we're the most biased homers there are. C-awk fans are new to respectability so you haven't come back to reality to accept you *might* be extreme homers.

"One game and we're the greatest ever!"

I dunno what you're trying to say, ultimately, because you just compared a team of stars to a team that could potentially have some solid players. Buts it's like comparing the NBA rookie stars to an all-star team. There's a lot of potential with the C-awks, for realz. But that Niner team was loaded with a blend of aging studs and up-and-coming studs.

And like I said, I'm not calling them the greatest, I'm saying there's plenty of teams that could beat them. You guys are practically calling the C-awks the greatest. Just keeping it real. Let's not let out heads inflate too much.

I'm not a Seahawks fan. Nice try though. I'll root for them, being close by to me. But I'm not a die hard homer blinded by whatever. Sorry that because you're a niners fan, you seem unable to have a rational conversation about it, instead of just dismissing people as homers.

Who cares if I compare a team of "stars" to a team of solid players. That defense last season was way better statistically than the 49ers defense. And, in a year when offense production in general was much higher than in 94, making it more impressive. And you can act like it's an all star cast, but it was what, Young and Rice, and Hanks, Deion and Norton as your true "stars"? Does name recognition on guys truly change anything I said? There's keeping it real, and then there's you in any Seahawks thread. it's kind funny.

It will be interesting to see if the Seahawks can go undefeated this season.

Glad you could come up to breathe for a few. Congrats.

Just find it hilarious that y'all are anointing the C-awks the second-coming after a game, when history has tried-and-true top-tier teams. And I wasn't even declaring the Niners the best, I was admitting as good as they were, there were better. But whatevs, last night's game clearly declares the C-awks the best-ever.

Not dissing the C-awks. Just asking for people to be a little realistic. For not being a fan, you sure are defensive.

LOL, defensive? I compared last year's seahawks team to the 94 niners and said they were comparable based on one having a better offense, one having a better defense, and you went on your little rant calling me a homer.

At least most of Southern Oregon seems to be sticking with the Raiders and Niners :devilwink:

I wouldn't call it a bandwagon, they're the closest team. That's why I became a fan. I ain't no bitch who roots for teams out of my region.

Plus I will NEVER root for a California team, just...barf.

Lol. Deep-rooted OR peeps had no teams to root for except SF and Oakland.

    Learn the game, then post.

And no nobody called you a B for the team you root for. They called you a B for other reasons.
