Would you have accepted that same trade package that OKC got for Dame if it was offered first?

No. I want Dame to finish here and I want them to build a contender around him. Dame is the book when it comes to intangibles. PG13 not so much.

No, but that’s because I’m a homer. Logically if we were in the situation OKC is... you have to.

I mean, ask me after the 1st round sweep last year and that would be real tempting... still, it’s hard to say yes. Honestly OKC should’ve fired their coach and run it back with attempts to add more shooters. I think them taking Bazley was a bigger sign that we thought...

What if the l*akers didn’t trade for AD? Do they win the bid for PG13 and then get Kawhi?

Makes you wonder if they had more than one reason to delay the AD trade. I’m glad the clippers got em both in the end.

Kawhi didn't want to play with Lebron

How many of those big 2s are better than ours of Dame/CJ? I think I see 5 better.

So hypothetically if you could get RW and his massive contract for CJ/Baze would you do it?

    Dame/Simons
    Russ/Trent
    Hood/Mario/Little
    Collins/Tolliver/Skal
    Nurk/Whiteside

    I don’t really like it.

I think we're about tied with Jokic/Murray with a healthy Dame/Nurk.....Nurk and Jokic play different games, however, and Murray is longer than Dame, but Dame is more athletic and quicker.

I see Kawhi/George, Curry/Klay, CP3/Harden, all better than Dame/CJ. I can't speak to the rest because I haven't seen them play beyond the occasional highlight.

That would be........very interesting. Could Dame control Russ and help him understand that Dame needs to take over when it matters? Don't know.

If Dame could control Russ, I think that would be a very dangerous lineup.

Yes, I would have asked for all those picks, if Dame came and told me he wanted to leave. As we have seen with AD, can't keep an unhappy player in the locker room. Not good. Remember when LeBron was flirting with Dame at the beginning of last season ... after we were swept by the Pelicans?
If I remember AD switched agents midway through the season after the Pelicans were no longer in contention for a playoff spot ( if i remember)

Absolutely not. Westbrook is a low-efficiency high-volume shooter. Those guys are done (effectively) in today's NBA but fans and GMs still love the big numbers they can still put up if they are allowed to hog the ball. Westbrook is the poster child.

Westbrook has not even once in his 11-year career shot an effective field goal percentage of 50% or higher. That's laughable. But, oh those triple doubles! Well, the scoring portion comes at a cost.

Another abuser of ball hoggery with a most frightening contract is John Wall. He also has never had an eFG% of 50% (or better) in 9 seasons.

I'm talking strictly about this summer with the exact circumstances for the Blazers. Dame is happy.

I doubt Kawhi would have gone after a "happy" player who just experienced success.
OKC was an easy target. What if Kawhi asked for James Harden (who just feuded with CP3) or a Devin Booker (who hates Phoenix) or some other person whose team just lost miserably?
We were in the OKC position at the beginning of last season. Swept the past 3 seasons, 1-12 the last few playoff games, ... etc. We were all ready to shake up the whole Franchise.
    Yes, this season is different.

I put the first three pairs above Dame CJ. So both LA duos plus GS, even if you change GS to Steph/Draymond who are healthy now.

The others no, I'd prefer Dame CJ. I could see any of these duos out performing Dame CJ in a playoff series so nothing is guaranteed.

CP3 is a shadow of his young self, I think Houston takes another step back.

Both LA duos have major injury history, I'd be surprised if all 4 superstars are healthy in the same postseason.

So maybe one of these duos is out with injuries next season and maybe the other two are in the same side of the playoff bracket, that would give us one great duo we have to beat as underdogs to get to the finals.

We have an actual chance, which is more exciting than most years of the last two decades.
