I love what TP has done in the playoffs and he is certainly an all-star in the making but he is not better than these other top point guards

    YET

He is though one of the best at attacking the basket and drawing attention which leaves extra opportunities around the basket for Duncan and Rasho. It also gives wide open looks to Manu and Bowen which is their bread and butter. So overall Parker makes everyone else's job much easier. Inside and outside.

I see no reason why Parker won't be a 21 and 7 guy within 2 years or even next year. I think playing for France really burned him out at the start of the season which = his very slow start along with his injures. It took him longer to get back into the flow.

Are you telling me that during the regular season he was better than Kidd, Cassell, B.Davis, Nash, Marbury, Bibby, Billups, L.James, and more? Sure, he was probably the 15th or 16th best point guard during the regular season, but that doesn't mean he's great by any stretch of the imagination. I had him on my fantasy league team; he didn't do too much for me.</div>

you can call TP alot of things, but mediocre? A mediocre point guard is someone like Tyronn Lue. Tony Parker is in no way mediocre. Look at his performances in the playoffs and the way his game goes to another level. Average maybe, but not mediocre. Besides you don't have to blow Jason Kidd's horn that loud, everyone knows what type of player he is.

But calling TP mediocre is wrong. [IMG]

There's great, there's mediocre, and there's bad to me. Tony Parker doesn't qualify as a great point guard yet, but he's definitely not bad.

    Nothing has changed

    Payton still can't guard Parker.
