This is harsh to the Kings. I don't know who they would trade Peja for, but all his life he's been a King, and always will remain a King. How is he suppose to lead his 'new' team into the playoffs into the top 4 seeds like he just did last year? How will he average about 24 points again, with all the great passes from his teammates? I think this is crap, and he just won't do it. Trust me.
My Opinon on Peja wanting Out! I Knew that Peja made some comments about the State of Kings, but i didn't think he wanted out of Sacromento .I'm sorry that he's not happy here, and i just think it's a shame that he feels like this. Well if we do in fact trade Peja,i'd like someone who can play defense, but i'm not too happy about this at all. :thumbsdow i don't want this move to happen peroid. Peja's the 2003-2004 NBA's second highest scorer, who the hell we are going to get to replace him???
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting johnny33:</div><div class="quote_post">blame webber.. he should stop running his mouth</div> I prefer to go with the comment someone else made earlier. Players need to shut their mouths and play... that includes webber stojakovic bryant o'neal and anyone else that whines about their situation.
I hope Predrag knows that he won't be able to flourish better anywhere else but with the Kings. With that said, they'll talk him down and we'll see him in a kings uniform next season.

an article that needs reading http://www.sacbee.com/content/sports/story...-11190418c.html <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Stojakovic's trade request was made not this week, but July 23. In other words, you can throw out the explanation that Peja woke up last Sunday, hated the Chris Webber Q&A in The Bee, and decided he'd respond by asking to be moved.</div> Currently listening to the afternoon local sports radio (as you might have guessed its bouncing back and forth between this and the arena issues, another one of my favorite topics of late) and there are some developments that currently I have no way to link (as they have not been printed) but apperently Divac has been in contact with Stojakovic SINCE he requested the trade and basicly has advised Stojakovic to re-think his situation and retract the request to be traded.

But if you don't perform up to your capabilities, then you might feel this way. Really, I think this is more about Vlade and Hedo (Turkoglu) being gone and Peja being the only European left. But he can't be with those guys his whole life. "I love Peja to death, but he's got to stand on his own feet sometime."</div>
I just got in on this. It's real bad news and it's even worse to have a player on the team who doesn't wanna be there. They're not gonna dedicate themselves to the team like they should. While we can get a lot in return for him, I don't see the Maloofs trading him right now. He has two more years left on his contract. I expect that they'll see what they can do after this upcoming season.
Thank God Peja himself came to the conclusion that he needs to be dealt elsewhere. Move him to Seattle for Rashard Lewis. I'm sure a few extra players might need to be involved, but it gives the Kings a young athletic swingman who plays at the rim instead of settling for jump shots. The Kings have plenty of shooters. And not to mention, it puts Peja on a team that is still struggling to make it into the playoffs. If this is not a possibility, move him to a struggling team in the east for picks or a young guard/forward who attacks the basket. Hell, they could even look at moving him to Orlando for Hedo and Cuttino Mobley. Probably not, but he's gotta go. TRADE PEJA.

He just shoots jumpshots and occasionally takes it in, if he doesn't turn the ball over in the process.
