In Eric Gordon's absence, the New Orleans Pelicans are still winning.

They extended their winning streak to three straight and have won five of their last six going into Monday night's game against the Houston Rockets. In Saturday night's 116-99 victory against the Milwaukee Bucks, the Pelicans (16-27) made a franchise-record 17 3-pointers and 21 assists on 24 made shots in the second half.

But last week, Gordon became the latest Pelicans' player to be put on the injured list. He's out four to six weeks after undergoing surgery to repair a fractured ring finger.

For Gordon, who is in the final year of his contract, it's yet another season unable to avoid injuries. In his first three seasons in New Orleans, Gordon missed 115 games due to various injuries.

He missed 21 games last season with a torn labrum in his left shoulder. But he put off surgery and played the final 41 games of the regular season and playoffs.
