It sounds like the deal is contingent on him working out a new long-term deal with Seattle. They haven't announced anything on his contract, as it's still being negotiated. I assume he wants some serious cash.
I believe niners on the hook for just the 6 million on quans deal, the other 1.5ish was a prorated signing bonus aka dead money for the ravens GREAT trade for a win now team like the niners, moss was garbage
On KJR they said that last year Harvin was #5 in the entire league in yards after catch and he only played half the season. That's some crazy shit there. I am not upset by what they gave up for Harvin, but I will be curious to see how much cash he gets. I don't think Harvin's a #5 WR, but they needed a WR to stretch the field and that's exactly what Harvin is. With Rice/Harvin/Tate/Baldwin, the Seahawks receiving corps is looking pretty good. Dare I say the greatest show on field turf? SF got themselves a great player too and it will cost them less. NFC west should be very exciting this year.
On paper the Seahawks and Niners are clearly the best teams in the league now. I would love to go up to the Clink and catch their game!
Without a doubt, IMO. It'll be interesting to see the overall schedule, as they could have an impact on which team takes the division. That matchup, at this moment, would be one helluva NFC Championship Game.
Pro Football Insiders is talking about how Rovell and Carroll are thinking of using Harvin as the complement back to Beast Mode for a triple-read-option effect around 10x a game.
Are they thinking of some formations and plays like SF's version of the Pistol? That could be interesting.
If I am GB I am trying to get SJAX. But they are going to have some holes on defense to fill too and maybe at WR to an extent if they lose Greg Jennings. Boy they may take a huge step backward this year depending on what they can accomplish in the offseason.
Funny how GB is sending a bunch of their coaches to college to study the Pistol to combat the Niners. Don't get me wrong, you do what you gotta do to keep up with your opponents. I still kinda find it funny. It tells you the level of worry and respect they have for Kaep and his abilities.
Profootballtalk.com reports Percy Harvin's new Seahawks deal is worth $67 million over six seasons, with only $14.5 million fully guaranteed. Another $11 million is guaranteed for injury, but this is a smaller deal than Harvin was probably expecting. It's actually worth just slightly less than Dwayne Bowe's in annual average, making Harvin -- for now -- the NFL's fifth highest paid receiver behind Calvin Johnson, Larry Fitzgerald, Mike Wallace, and Bowe. And the low guaranteed total protects the Seahawks. Seattle gave up a draft-pick haul for Harvin, but this looks like a great deal for the club. From rotoworld.com
I'm still waiting for the niners to address the secondary issues they have. Restructure some guys and offer nnamdi 2 years 12 million
Buttttttt, skip bayless said today that nnamdis heart isnt in football anymore so he is a risky signing
...and therefore you know it isn't true. I'd rather have Richard Sherman's opinion on Nnamdi.
Sherman came off as a moron with that. I do believe bayless about nnamdi. The guy is a great talent, he is a very smart guy too and always seems to have had his eyes on whats next after football.
I cant wait for the season to start! http://www.seahawks.com/videos-phot...y-Harvin/ce8aa2b6-03aa-4bcb-9a61-878a3035476b
