Perhaps a bit more hope for ROY's knees?

That would be a sad, and damning, indictment of Brandon. Sadly, I'm half expecting it to be true.

That's quite a theory. Did you watch Brandon play in his last few games? He couldn't even run after loose balls. He was in obvious pain. I don't disagree that Brandon doesn't like playing with Dre, but not enough to sit out and go through surgery if he was "90%".

What is more likely is that Brandon was having a hard time coming to grips with the fact that his body was failing him, and it was easier for him to point the finger at Andre than check in with reality. "If the paint wasn't clogged", "If we had a PG that could shoot" was him displacing his frustration. He even said so. Take a situation he's not happy with (playing with Dre) and throw the "oh-by-the-way you're athletic ability is shot and there's no way to fix it" on top of it . . . Can you imagine the frustration he's been through? 3 Time All Star who desperately wants to win a championship in first year of $80+ million contract and it's been all bad since the season started pretty much. He blamed the heavy early season schedule. He pretty much blamed the coaching staff by saying the offense was too predictable. He pointed the finger at the watered down bench we have now. And he blamed the PG he's always hated playing with.

I don't disagree entirely, but that could be effort over ability. Yes, I think he has to adjust to the knees, but I saw hope. I saw decent drives that reminded me of Brandon, but without the hops to finish. I forget which game but he drove, split defenders and went for the lay up only to watch it hit under the rim. He had the veteran savvy and knowedge to get past the defender, just not the jumping ability to finish. He can, and will, work on that. I think when Dre is gone we'll see amore motivated Brandon. I am no doctor and unlike Mixum I refuse to act like I know everything. His knees might be just as shot as some people say. I'm just not convinced...not yet. I do not expect Brandon to be a perrenial all-star, but it wouldn't surprise me to see if once or twice more over the remainder of his career.

Unfortunately, I think the offense will go back to suffering when he returns. That only hope is if 90% Brandon will accept a bench role. Let the first team run. Let Brandon lead the second team. Brandon can get his 30 minutes a night running the second unit, scoring 17 points and being our co-closer with LMA in the fourth. Please Roy, come back to at least 90% and acceot this role. If it happens, I think we're back to 50+ win seasons.

Well I hope you're right. It's not pleasant to think that Brandon's attitude is what is keeping him sidelined, but it's much easier to deal with than believing he's no longer physically able to perform. One of those you can change, the other you can't.

here's hoping your dad is right... I'm sure my dad and sister hope so as well. I only passed along my 2 cents of insight that I thought was relevant to the situation. Of course any real Blazer fan would hope that BR could be Macgyver'd back together again... break out the duct tape and dental floss and I'll see you at the championship parade :smiley-svijeca:

Looks like this thread was timely and PRP is working very well for Brandon!

master of the obvious you are, the acid test of course will be how he does over a period of games. The speed of his recovery IMO is a good indication he responded well to the PRP - some don't.
