That being said, I'd like the deal if maybe Weatherspoon or Baker replaced James.</div>

    Don't think that works financially.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting bplld:</div><div class="quote_post">I doubt Atlanta would give us diaw, he is already in that trade for joe johnson, think yall forgot about that.
I would really like harrington though, and they dont really need him. But doubt they want expiring contracts, atleast right now, and we need james too much. We could package someone crappy and give up a first round pick or something, considering they lost one. Maybe weatherspoon is the most logical answer.</div>

I'm all for us giving less for Harrington. Spoon and a draft pick for Harrington would be great. I just couldn't imagine The Hawks taking that trade.

You and Trip are right though. Our PG's will suffer from the trade. But I don't know if I'd want to pass up an opportunity like Harrington or Diaw.

I think the Wesley/James trade for Harrington/Diaw would be good because we have a load of point guards and we're getting a great player in return and we should be looking for that 3rd string player for our team and the Harrington,Yao,T-mac trio would be a great trio but the only thing I dont like about Harrington was that he was a stat patter with them.

Loads of point guards, yes, but can Norris, Ward and Head be counted on to back up Sura or step into a starting role when Sura is out? No. As many point guards as we have in number, Sura and James are the only guys who would get consistent minutes on any playoff contender.

I don't know why you would call Harrington a stat-padder because he was putting up similar numbers in a sixth man role with the Pacers, a team who made the playoffs and had a NBA-best record his last year with them. Harrington has game, and that is a fact which shouldn't be marred by his playing with the Hawks last year.
