McMillan demanded a whole lot on the defensive end, and we all know how that worked

Sure D'Antoni is no defensive wiz, but at the very least the Blazers seem to have players that will work hard on the defensive end

Amare/Melo was/is truly a disaster defensively. They just don't care.

Jackson thinks like a Laker, Olshit thinks like a Clippper, and the Vulcans think like Sonics.

I see a violent tornado brewing. This troika threatens Olshit's Clipper Clone Strategy to gut the roster every year, waiting for superstars in the draft. The solution is to make Jackson subordinate to Olshit and start Ronnie Price because he's Lillard's friend.

Jackson will need a friend to replace Jeanie Buss. Paul Allen's sister lives in the Allen museum basement with the dinosaur bones. Some Vulcan troglodyte will have to dust her off and lead her upstairs to the Sun.

Do you ride the 14 at nights? There's a guy with a conductor's cap who just talks and talks and talks but never makes any sense.

I think we're all avoiding the most important issue: How would Phil Jackson mesh with [IMG]?

Phil hates the city of Portland. He hates the rain here or something. I remembered reading an article about how the Lakers lost so many times in a row in PDX. He talked about how gloomy the city was and how it always rained; which effected him and the players. Maybe that was the Zen Master just blowing smoke, but I doubt he would even think once about coaching in Portland.

Jackson as a coach (head or assistant)? Sure.

Shaw as a coach (head or assistant)? Maybe.

Jackson in the front office? No... why?
