Then I stand corrected. I don't have enough experience with other arenas to know what the they offer when compared to the Rose Garden.
Okay but think back to your experience the last time you visited the Moda. What did you like? What did you dislike? I hear people complain about the lack of bathrooms during halftime and the price of beer.
That's why I was thinking it was her responsibility to get max value for the Blazers. At some point it was made pretty clear that the executor of Paul's estate would sell off his assets to maximize the impact on his long term philanthropic goals. I wouldn't think he'd want his assets to go for bargain prices.
It's a stadium. I don't pay attention to much beyond that. I'm in, watch the game, then out. It doesn't seem very nice... But it doesn't seem run down either.
Thought I'd read she has to extract the most amount of value out of his assets, but I could be wrong.
Sounds like a pretty simple problem to avoid. Don’t drink the beer and you won’t need the bathroom. Get drunk at home afterwards.
It's a fair assessment though. The art collection has gone to charity. The estates that have been sold all went to charity. Much of his work is still being financed. In 2019 the Seattle Times wrote this story. https://www.seattletimes.com/busine...llens-philanthropy-still-shrouded-in-secrecy/
Wadded up piece of paper. It's what he old the designer he wanted the building to look like. You should see the structure itself. Obviously you can't with the shell on it but the engineering is incredible.
I can't remember what other arenas are like, but the food has gotten a lot better at the Moda Center. The 300-level concourse is a lot of fun for kids.
Canzano mentions it here: Allen passed away last month after complications from non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma. There's been speculation about what might become of his NBA organization. According to NFL.com, Allen's plan for the Seahawks was to, "have the proceeds of the eventual sale of the team go to his foundation. The Paul G. Allen Foundation consolidated all of his causes and would be the beneficiary of the transaction."
If you want better prices on beer, there is a brewery right near the Moda Center, Upright Brewing. The address is 240 Broadway , but the entrance is on Wheeler. https://www.uprightbrewing.com/tasting-room
