Kevin Durant is unreal! 18 points in the 1st half, Sonics lead 58-55 at the half.

This Seattle team is certainly one of my favorite teams to watch. Obviously, they have a long way to go and are unable to close out games and handle slower paced teams.. but I love watching these young guys play freestyle basketball.

Kevin Durant, great first half. Nice to see him get the jitters out of his system and get something going. The one thing that has impressed me the most about him within the past 2 days is his passing off the dribble. He has made some terrific passers to guys on the roll.

Is there a chance Durant makes the all star team?

I hope Seattle can keep it up in the second half. They play with so much heart definitely becoming a fan of this squad.

However, they looked great in the Denver game and then got rocked after halftime. Let's see if they can put together two good halfs.

    Amare has 3 fouls already.

I like the strategy, Seattle is going right at Amare in the post with Wilcox to force him to get his 4th foul.

Phoenix just switched to Marion on Wilcox.

    Watson for 3!

Tim Duncan, Dirk Nowitzki, Pau Gasol, Carlos Boozer, Carmelo Anthony, Tracy McGrady, Shawn Marion, Ron Artest... there are WAY too many star forwards in the West for Durant to make it right away. The only way would be if he recieves more votes than those guys, which likely won't happen.

Just because a player gets assists, doesn't mean he's moving the ball well or making good decisions. A stat is just that... a stat.

I know...sometimes it means a player is moving the ball well and making good decisions, and sometimes it just means that a point guard is holding the ball until he sees the chance to get an assist, or is only passing it to a player who's hot and making shots.
