<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (ASUFan22 @ Apr 5 2007, 09:40 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>What stuff besides putting Diaw on Duncan?</div>The entire defensive match-up. Diaw on Duncan, wasting Marion's defensive abilities by hiding him against Elson/Oberto and most importantly Nash defending Parker. He sacrificed the Suns' defense which was the only thing keeping Phoenix in the game when he benched Kurt Thomas in the 3rd quarter. He went back to playing small ball which has been the reason why the Spurs have had the Suns's number these past few years. Had he kept KT in the rotation it would have allowed the Suns to defend Duncan 1 on 1 without him scoring at will and would have also allowed Marion to defend Tony Parker who would not have gone off the way he did against Nash. The difference between Nash defending Parker and Marion defending Parker was the difference between the Suns winning and losing the game. If this was D'Antoni trying to hide his hand for the playoffs so be it but I don't really think that is something he would do.

They really force you into a half court game whether you like it or not.
