<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Suns did better than I thought they would without Bell, in Dallas so I am really confident that we can take one at home and then hopefully he returns.</div> He's out for the series is what I'm hearing. Unless your going to the play the optimistic. But it's not looking good. Maybe that joke jinxed them. I have to say well done game by Mavs overall. I still don't like the fact we settle for jumpers, there was a sequence when Terry, Howard, Stack all shot 3's instead of driving. When we did drive after those 3 blunders, Stack got an old fashioned 3 the old way. Also, want to point out that refs need to start calling Diaw's walks. It wouldn't bother me if he did it once or twice and the refs let it go. But it happened like 4-5 times in the game. He shuffles his feet and refs ignore it.

I've heard a lot of different things. I think he may be back, but with all the injuries any other win is just an added bonus on a great season when we were not supposed to make it that far. Get over that joke...I'm sorry D'Antoni isn't a hard ass and likes to have fun in interviews...And if there were jinxes the Mavs would be swept because of all the classless fans I have seen. And the refs need to call Diaw's walks? Come on, a Suns player touches a guy and it was a foul, a Dallas player hits a Suns player and they kept playing. Nowitzki also traveled on that big lay-up. And they called a bad travel call on Marion or Thomas when they just got the ball in there hands and were posting up. You guys are in no position to talk about the refs. Mavs had that home court advantage going on with the refs, there needs to be at least a couple make-up no calls. I really don't mind the calls since it was the Mavs being screwed the last series and they deserve some home court advantage, but it just makes me mad that you guys get the majority of the calls and you talk about a little thing. Especially since I haven't said anything and I'm pissed of because besides the last round we've been screwed by officiating all year.

Have to disagree with you on that Dirk layup. It was not a travel, I watched the 2nd replay after they showed D'Antoni whining about it. He took a jump step and put the ball up. That's not a travel. And I say they should call Diaw's walks because their letting it go. It's not like Mavs are getting away with every single foul call. Both teams got non calls. It's just annoying to see refs miss a walk 3-4 times. <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>majority of the calls and you talk about a little thing.</div> Majority of the calls? :no3:Did you paste Steve Nash's head on Van Damme's body lol? Also, just to note, BCB is annoyed with that avatar because it's slowing his bandwith.

Well, I like the avatar and yes you guys are getting most of the calls and it's annoying. And there was a bad walk called on us, Diaw deserves a few. If a Suns player just touches Nowitzki's jersey it's called a foul. You guys are definetly getting the advantage by the refs. Now, I don't think the calls had much to do with the outcome, they weren't horrible like the Lakers' series but the calls are so inconsistent. I wish we had Bell to come flop and even it out a bit but he's injured. :(The Mavs did deserve this game though. Howard did a great job. I just don't think a Mavs fan can argue with the calls right now. In the last series you definetly could... I hope this is just some home court advantage officiating and won't last for the whole series.D'Antoni needs to make some adjustments, Game 3 would be a nice win.Yes Waqas, Marion had a "travel". That was as much of a travel as Dirk's which is too close to call and that's why I say the refs were inconsistent. I actually don't remember that Marion travel but I remember 1 or 2 called on us that surprised me. But I'm saying that did not cost us the game. Mavs deserved this one.Oh and Rok, that classless fans thing had nothing to do with anyone here if you took that the wrong way...

[IMG] just playing with you. But yea I think you said it best, refs didn't dicate the outcome. I'm just pointing out something I didn't like. Also, D'Antoni's dry humor is not funny, he said Diop had no impact on the game, I guess that was a joke since you Suns fans say that's how he is. But that's just not funny to me. Maybe not my cup of tea.

What was the question he was asked? I don't really understand it. Maybe if I heard the interview I could explain? I love D'Antoni. [IMG]

Well that obviously wasn't a joke. D'Antoni is upset and maybe he's saying that it wasn't Diop's play that changed the game it was mistakes we made that he'll try to fix for Game 3. Diop obviously did have an impact but D'Antoni was probably more upset with his players. D'Antoni doesen't joke after losses just so you know. I hope he can do something crazy though that works. He does some weird things that I never would think would work and then it does. Hopefully he can come up with something. How about James Jones today with 6 blocks? It's unfortunate we might not be able to keep him.

A couple of observations from this game. Playing Van Horn in this series works into Phoenix's hands. He has no inside game and takes away the rebounding advantage the mavs normally have. Diop to me is the best fit for this series. Even though Diaw got a lot of points Diop was the only one to take away the layup drill the suns when Van Horn was out there. The mavs need Diop out there and need to slow the speed down enough so that they can get back on defense and find their man. Dampier works on offense but his mobility really hurts Dallas against Phoenix. Mbenga I feel should backup Diop. Just an idea.

Well, I was gone during the game so I taped it. Waqas told me the score before hand [IMG] At this point in the tape. The Mavs are up by 8

I hate to agree with most of what mavsfan said, but it's true. When KVH starts at C for us, our defense looks empty, and the Suns inside game takes on new face. But when Diop was in there, it wasn't so easy for them...they had to work for everything they got.I still think Damp should play a few minutes, key minutes really, here and there, especially to help on offense...although Diop has really shown some much improvement on the offensive side of the ball the last few playoff games. The calls are being called pretty fair, and for every bad call a PHX fan says there was, the Mavs fans can say one to match it.Dirk is getting calls now, finally and rightfully so, because he starting to get the respect a Superstar deserves. He's getting the same calls, that TD was getting in the last series.Someone said that everytime Dirk gets touched, there's a foul, and it was the same with TD in last series, while Dirk was getting mugged by Bowen on the other side, and barely got any calls for it.But you know what? The Mavs fought threw it, and so do the Suns have to. I'm sure the Suns will get tons of calls go there way in PHX, BUT rememeber...PHX isn't known as a team that gets alot of FT attempts anyways.

looks like its gonna be another great series. I really don't know if I can take another 7 game one, i'm only young yet my heart feels like giving out everytime we get to game 7.Well done Dallas last night, they changed their game plan a bit and pulled out the win, Howard was fantastic. The Suns are usually good at re-adjusting slightly though, like against LA x2, so game three should be very interesting.

I just think it's funny, as soon as Diop gets the ball on offense he's looking to pass EVERY single time, as soon as the ball touches his hand he's looking around for someone to take it from him. It's like the ball is a hot potato. [IMG]

I know, it's like guys just pass him the ball, so they can adjust 2 feet to the left without the ball, lol.The only time he really gets the ball and goes to the hoop with it is when he's cutting to the basket.I'm sure he'll get better with time, but if he ever averages 10 and 10 and 2.5 blocks a game, I'll be very happy, lol.

I love Diop's attitude. All he cares about is defense, and his offense is also efficient. Diop and Dirk make easy baskets.

I didn't like the stupid comments from Barkley and Kenny Smith saying the mavs need to go small. I disagree with this. As long as Diaw is out there than that is who Diop guards. Now if the suns go really small and take Diaw out in place of Jones than it is a tougher matchup for Diop though I would put him on Marion since he is a low percentage 3 point shooter and let him shoot from outside. Diop seems to know where he should be on defense and doesn't let players go by him and that is what I like about his game. I think Mbenga could do the same thing or close to it if given a chance. For such a 3 point shooting team Phoenix has they sure go to the basket a lot.

Marvin, the calls are definetly favoring the Mavs and you can't see it because you are enjoying it too much after what the refs were doing in the last round. Like I said though, there aren't really any bad calls but they are inconsistent and I wish we had Raja to guard Nowitzki and flop a couple of times so Dirk doesen't get all of the calls. Overall for both sides the officiating has been sub-par, but I don't think they are worse than the refs in round 1 or the ones in your last series because some Dallas fans were really pissed. [IMG] No matter what though, this series would be 1-1 anyway and hopefully the officiating doesen't cause either team to win in the future. I want a nice, fair series. I picked the Mavs to win, but if they win from officiating it will bother me for a whole year. And if the Suns win I don't want people to say the refs wanted them to win. The refs have been trash this postseason. And yes Marvin the Suns have to fight through it, again. The Suns didn't get many trips to the free throw line in the regular season but in this postseason they have gotten there plenty of times.Mavsfan, how is not having Diaw out there playing small? He's a 6'8 center...

But WHY DON'T THE MAVS PLAY MBENGA!?!? He's super-fast...combine Dirk at PF...[IMG]and combine Mbenga at C with Diop!Remember, Mbenga can run up and down like a guard!!
