Arizona I don't understand why your bringing up that a majority of the calls are going to the Mavs. It makes a lot of sense because of the Mavericks play opposed to Suns. Suns usually will get uncontested layups against us and settle for three point shots. That lowers the chances of fouls being calls and free throws being shot.
I see a lot of bad fouls called on us and nothing called on the other end, it pisses me off. When Dirk draws a foul when he's touched and the MVP doesen't when he's pushed during a layup that doesen't seem right. The refs should either let everyone play or call those little fouls on everyone. If I was a Mavs fan I wouldn't notice it either. All I would do was say, "Yes! Great defense!" lol and not care the ticky tack fouls they call on the Suns. You guys ARE getting some help from the refs but hopefully Marvin is right and it'll be a little better in Arizona. I think it will. I don't think the NBA favores Dallas too much like they do with LA. I think they just want it to be a long series so hopefully the refs will be on our side a little bit. I have a problem...lol. After I post I always edit it like 4 different times...
The refs were bad against Dallas in game 1. I guess it evens out. Dallas should be up 2-0 but oh well. Dallas proved against San Antonio that they can win on the road. Hopefully they bring that same intensity to Phoenix.
No, they were in Dallas' favor both games, more this game but still definetly in Dallas' favor in both. Actually, if you count in the losses of Howard, Bell and the officiating that was pretty even. The Suns deserved the game 1 win. They were winning for 3/4 of the game. They outplayed you guys except for part of the 3rd and 4th. It should be 1-1 right now even with the refs though. It's sounding like Raja's doing better too, but they are going to do that MRI today...
No way was that first game equal. That was some bullsh** calls that whole game. I was pissed but I don't want to sound like I was crying about the refs. Game 2 was a different story though.
There were bullsh** calls both ways but it was definetly favoring the Mavs but losing Howard that early and then us losing Bell later made it more even. And making a comeback after being down that much at the end without our best defender earned us that game. The refs never favored the Suns in this series. They have been bad for both sides but i've seen more for the Mavs. It should definetly be 1-1 right now and the refs haven't made any outragious calls so it hasn't made me that mad since I know both teams deserved what they got so far. As long as there isn't officiating like Game 4 in round 1 i'll be happy.
I'll take your word for it on game 2 but I didn't notice so many bad calls against the suns. I thought it was a well reffed game. Game 1 though was driving me crazy by how bad the refs were. The majority of mavs fans would agree with me that the refs sucked in game 1.
You didn't notice it because,well...:<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>When Dirk draws a foul when he's touched and the MVP doesen't when he's pushed during a layup that doesen't seem right. Oh and I bet a lot of Suns fans would agree. Refs are annoying, they need to make robot refs who are 99% correct. But with all that said, I think both teams definetly deserved their wins.
You didn't notice all the bad calls in game against the mavs either I'll bet. It's easier to notice the calls that screw you than the calls that benefit you. The refs favored Phoenix in game 1 and favored Dallas in game 2. It's 1-1 though Dallas choked in game 1 so that is why I said Dallas could be up 2-0.
I notice our make up calls. I noticed some travels and that made me happy because I realized the refs weren't totally screwing us like Round 1. lol. All I think is that they need to call more fouls on the Mavs when they call so many so easily on us.Sorry mavs, I'm just mad the Rattlers lost too.
That's cool, but honestly, the Suns will get some calls, they probably shoudn't get at home, and they deserve it.Just like Nash will get calls over Deven Harris, and that's not a problem, as long as they give the same respect to Dirk.I know in Game 1, late in the 4th quarter...Steve Nash, made an obvious charge against Devin Harris, he was set, and not moving or anything, and Nash got the call...and 2 points. Then on the other end, Devin barely even put a hand on Nash, and they called Devin for a charge, when Nash wasn't set or anything. Those 2 plays were crucial...and considering the point differential at the end of the game, that was a 4 point swing, and if called correctly, would have been a Mavs win.But those are calls that go both ways, and it'll be different from game to game...you justhave to understand and accept that, and not complain that the refs are trying to screw you, because Mavs fans and Suns fans, have the same complaints.
I wasn't saying they were screwing us. I said they weren't doing that like they were in the first round. Just being very inconsistent on foul calls. I only said something because Rok was talking about Diaw's walks and I was mad because of all the crap I saw going the Mavs way, but I'm okay now. :-DAnd I hope you're right on your first sentence Marvin. I don't think the Mavs will get any special treatment from the refs like the Lakers do every year. Off topic but back in the Shaq in LA days there were so many terrible calls, it really pissed me off.
Yeah there was.And while Rok's comments about Diaw's walks is true...I think they've been very inconsistent on both sides, not just to ya'll, but to us too...And I agree that the Mavs won't get any special treatment today or tuesday in PHX.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>I only said something because Rok was talking about Diaw's walks</div> Ok, seeing as we won, I'm not using the walks as an excuse or blaming the refs for our win. I'm merely pointing out something that refs aren't calling 3-4 times down the court. It's a nuisance, that is all. But you on the other hand are pointing out there was a discrete difference in calls but yet say the refs did not win the game for either team. So why are you bringing it up again?
I brought it up because I was annoyed that you mentioned those walks after I saw the things the Mavs had going in their favor and it annoyed me. Ever since round 1 i've been too worried about what the refs are doing. Sorry Rok, you know I love ya man. :happy0144:
Dallas leads by 4 entering the 4th. What happens? I think Phoenix will get a lead, but Dallas will regain it, and win the game by 10
