People don't turn every thread into a Kobe Bryant debate!

Good series though, it was nice to see it go to seven games because both teams are title contenders when you look at it. Like already said, the Heat came down with bad injuries in the end and it ultimately put them in a bad situation by the series going all the way to seven when the Heat had the advantage at five. Even though the Pistons had injuries, those were all the nagging type injures that occurred over most of the season for them. The Heat on the other hand just had tough luck with Wade and even others like Haslem dislocating his finger When you look at it every player in the Heat starting five had some kind of bad injury. Also the Heat had game seven in the end but the young/inexperienced players crumbled in the end, Wade shot that stupid jumper trying to be the hero, and then when the Heat were up four you say Damon Jones forcing the ball to the basket then jump in the air without any passing options after Billups closed his shot off. It was not evident throughout the whole series but the Pistons definitely do have the poise that everyone speaks of.

Miami fans still wont admit that they lost and arent the best team in the league. They probably never will i guess. If your best players are injury prone dont complain once they are injured in the playoffs. Congrats to Detroit you won fair and square, Miami fans (or Shaq fans who are allegedly Toronto fans) please get off of Wade's jock.

Just like I thought they would, which is why I bet a decent sum of money on it haha. Now I got the Spurs in the same bet Double or nothing.Wades injury REALLY hurt the Heat though. The Damon Jones turnover and missed free throw along with billups's 3 pointer to tie it up were HUGE plays.Damn, this was a great series to watch.

Detroit did win fair and square, no one is saying they cheated man [IMG] lol
I only brought up the injuries to stop some of the bragging, it deserves recognition of what injuries they were facing, but i make no excuse for Detroit winning. They were the better more expierenced more cohesive team..end of story. Should be interesting though since now Detroit is playing the role of the less skilled, less expierenced, less cohesive team. The Spurs have it all. Whether it was Miami or Detroit going agaisnt them i'd still say it'll be a Sweep for Duncan and co.

That said, calling Wade and Shaq injury prone isnt fair. Shaq maybe because he had a few seasons where he only managed 67 or so games, but this year he played in 73 which isnt bad. And up until this year he had never missed a playoff game! Not bad for a guy thats getting up in age and has the tremendous strain of holding up 325+ pounds 24/7. Big guys break down, thats a fact....Shaq's been fabulous though in that department.
Wade played in 77 games this year too so i dont consider him injury prone...though its really to early since he hasnt been in the league long enough to know about his durability. You talk like these guys are next of kin to Grant Hill and Allan Houston.

Miami as best team in the league...i guess they could of been considered that for a while, though it wasnt a clean sweep in the department. the spurs and suns could of made arguments all year for that title and i'm firmly in the belief that had the brawl with Detroit not happened we'd be seeing a Spurs vs Pacers finals. Lets face it the Pacers too Detroit the distance after playing a majority of their games with old to very old players logging significant minutes, J. Oneal having to take on more than he might of been ready for post injury trying to pick up the slack, a general lack of cohesion based in part because of the split up of the 3 primary players for lenghts of time due to suspension, not to mension the Pacers playing without thier best defensive player, and aruably best player overall on the team. They would of beat Miami too so its nothing personal.

Finally i'd like to say to Run BJM about the "or Shaq fans who are allegedly Toronto fans", listen buddy, i've had season tickets to the Raptors since you were 5 years old...you were still crapping your pants and asking for a ba-ba when i was getting excited about thier first every draft choice Ed o'bannon vs Damon Stoudamire. An alleged Raptor fan, hey if thats your defination of it then i guess i am. Wade's jock? Ok i'll get off of it, after all the guy sucks, he's not even better than Kobe! Who cares if he's only 22 and the biggest things people can seperate Kobe and Wade on are images of being "clutch" Wade sucks.....KOBEEeeeee! Sorry if you misinterpret the following as jock riding: a valid comparison of skill based on thier strenghts and weaknesses, while also taking account for the difference in age and experience, with a final conclusion that Wade isnt as good as Kobe but he's better than Kobe was at the same age, or at least not far off.

As always, Kobe Bryant in the forefront of every conversation that contains anything about basketball..

Anyway, was a great series, Game 7 was a real nail biter for me being a Pistons fan. I guess thats what you love to see though as a fan..It sucks that Wade was injured but I really don't think Shaq was in all that much pain..I can't beleive any Heat fan would ever make a comment about Billups' and his mean muggin', I think Dooling is incapable of smiling, every time you see him he's got the "lets fight" look on his face..Kinda disturbing actually.
Also, WHY OH WHY does it always have to be 'Detroit won cuz so-and-so was injured' or 'Detroit only won because so and so were fighting' Whats with that? I made a prediction to a freind that it would be Heat/Pistons in the Eastern Confrence Finals, and that the Pistons would win in 7..So Naturally I called him as soon as the game was over and naturally, all he could talk about was how it was a fluke (Note: He said the same thing last year about the Lakers, hes on Shaq's nuts a bit too much) and that they only won because DWade was injured blah blah...GIVE US SOME RESPECT! The Pistons are THE BEST team in the league, if not the second best behind the Spurs but that could be argued into oblivion...
