if only we would have won the wizards game, we'd be looking pretty good. whole team healthy and only 2 games back of the clippers. but alas, the refs took it away and now we sit 3 games back, which is still not that much if we can go on a streak here.

This may be just another case of a sad tease. We've seen this before many times the past 13 years, the Warriors getting a big game and beating a contender. Last year , the Warriors took down the Mavs in Dallas and the Spurs.

Yeah they beat the Pistons twice. But that's not what defines a good team.

A good team beats the teams it is supposed to beat first, the Hawks, Knicks, Bucks (Bogut?), Sonics, Hornets, Bobcats, etc. Then it may beat a good team or two. The Warriors continue to flunk the first part of the test.

This was a nice win, Baron back and everyone else around. Harrington 10 rebounds? What was that? I would love to see it last but they've nearly worn out my patience because they have laid so many eggs by simply not competing and nearly quitting against bad teams.

Harrington's 10 boards weren't impressive; he benifitted from Biedrins who did TWICE the work under the glass, boxing out and tipping loose balls. AL just collected the easy stuff (though he did have ONE nice rebound and putback, I think).

But yeah, it was nice when their shots we falling, but what happens when those threes are bricks? Everyone looks around and gets caught standing...

I agree with that. The NBATV commentators were saying the Pistons may have a weakness guarding the perimeter. Still, the Warriors were pretty hot from the outside and we saw they win games when they are, i.e. 3-balls are falling, and when they're not, they end up losing. This team still lives and dies by the 3 even if they are healthy.

The BIG difference yesterday was the Warriors were playing some defense and getting rebounds, but I'm not sure if they will continue to do so when the shots don't fall. It seems like the offense gets the defense going and not vice versa. It's the Warriors biggest weakness and why I think they're not a playoff team.

As for this Detroit game, the Warriors had some intangibles going for them -- a healthy team for the first time since the big trade and bouncing back from a game they were robbed of a victory by the referees. The NBATV announcers said something like there are some things you can't explain in the NBA like trying to explain like how the lowly Warriors beat the Detroit Pistons.
