We know that Zags likes the cougars, but I don't think he risked getting close enough to make that kind of assessment.

No wide scale shots, but if you have one of each subject at a 1 cm resolution or better that would be useful. No dingleberry shots please.

Just watched the highlights on NBATV and Steve Smith just said, "offensively Batum is great, he just needs to work on his defense".

I take it Smith doesn't watch too many Blazer games.

It's funny--on paper the Pistons don't look like that bad of a team, talent-wise. Stuckey, Prince, Hamilton, Gordon, Villanueva, McGrady. Prince and Hamilton are still in their prime, and were once good enough to be starters on a championship team. Gordon is a nice high-percentage scoring guard. But it's basically the same team that won 27 games last year. Just a complete lack of any inside game.

Portland has beat everyone it should, but lost all the other ones.

You're being way too kind. That looks like absolute garbage, even on paper. Prince, Rip, and McGrady are barely shadows of their former selves. Villanueva was never as good as his occasional big game numbers indicated, and Stuckey and Gordon are just talented chuckers that are tough to fit into a team concept.

Maybe. But 27 wins? That collection of talent seems like it ought to be worth 35-40 wins if it just fit together. The problem is that they all play midrange and out. And especially when Ben Wallace is out there if you just camp out on guys on the perimeter they really can't seem to do much.

Maybe Nate should coach the Pistons.... that looks like his ideal lineup.
