Jones was trying to break it up but in the process knocked some kid down and then that big guy took Jones down from behind.
allnet - it wasnt THAT hard of a foul at all...nothing for someone to go off about. Also...i hightly doubt that Artest was afraid of Wallace.....i think he was actually shocked that Ben blew up so much. If i was Artest I woulda thrown down, but he didnt..he was cool headed...a surprise in itself. Besides...in a real one on one fight...i'd pick Artest. And you mention him going after someone half his size...it's not like he started it. and they definately deserved it.
Yeah that fatty really looked went into a vicious state... he did floor Jones with the second or third hammer, but Jones immediately got up. From how viciously he punched Jones, sth must have been up... maybe AllNet is right that Jones knocked some kid over, who happened to be the fatty's relative or kid's not related at all fatty got high sense of justice and made a stand for the kid.

Wallace shoved him by the neck and Artest didn't try and go after him or anything, then there was the scuffle at the scorers table where Wallace kept trying to go after Artest and threw a towel at him and still, Artest did not go after Big Ben. Artest was lying on the scorers table staying out of trouble when all of a sudden a fan threw a beer at him and that is what really set off the major brawl. If that fan never threw a beer, Artest, Wallace, and Jackson would have been ejected and the game would have continued. Things didn't get out of hand until the fan threw the beer.
i dont know if you guys are making it up or where you saw all this but i dont see it. I watched like 10 times on slow. Jones is standing at the back of the scrum. there's an adult right behind Artest...then a WHITE dude in a white shirt behind him...they're all being pushed back from the action going on in the center. Then the black guy comes across from the other row of seats and slugs Jones, not once but 3 times. once in the back of the head, once when he's on his way down, once when he's on the ground..no kids in sight, and all Jones is doing is trying to reach over the two guys infront of them. I say BS that guy was defending his kids

Yeah I was just watching the fight in ESPN Motion, and if anybodys watches the brawl, when Artest starts on the fan that threw the cup, look behind at the guy who threw more beer on Artest. Stephen Jackson looks like he`s ripping his face off.
Hammer will fall hardest on the players When all is said and done, I think the Indiana Pacers are going to be in a world of hurt after this. Heavy suspensions are probably warranted, lawsuits are definitely forthcoming, and their championship hopes could be dashed.
