Damn, guys. So much non-finals talk in this thread!

The question is now that the Sharks have staved off elimination, and have finally shown they can win away from the Shark Tank, and have the next game at home, will they be able to win it all?!

I HATE THE PENGUINS!!!!!!!!! [ I'm actually a Caps fan since the Miracle on Ice in 1980 since their uniforms reminded me of the American Flag. My goodness I must have been caught up in some nationalistic fervor or something! ]

While the Sharks have been generally outplayed this series, they are far from over-matched. This series is going 7 and hopefully the monkey will jump the Sharks* back and the Chick{p}ens will get back to their usual choking** ways!

Joel Ward is going to get an important goal in game 6 or 7 and make the Caps look foolish for not resigning him.

On a side note: Ovi was playing a charity game of basketball recently and was draining 3s like Meyers [ Slow release, but making them ]. Maybe Ovi should come teach our big guys Meyers and Mason about taking and delivering hits and take a bit of that softness out of their game.

Speaking of which, I really like Plums, and hope he can improve his finishing around the rim. He has enough athleticism to get his shot off, just seems like he needs to work on the techniques needed to get the ball in the hoop past defenders. Too much tossing it up and merely hoping it goes in.

    Sharks in 7!!!!!!

    * - Desperate attempt at being funny, forgive me in advance.
** - Ditto. So sue me.

NHL regular season beats NBA post season every season.

That game was awesome. Some of the saves Jones made were amazing. That guy was standing on his head for the Sharks, and if they come back and win this thing, I think he'll end up with the Conn Smythe trophy. Actually, I think whichever team wins, the goaltender of the winning team will win the trophy.

How much fun would it be to have instant rivalries with Vancouver and San Jose? Please make this happen in my lifetime

I wanted to make a joke about the goalies being great on defense but lousy on offense, especially shooting the long puck. Kind of a sarcastic basketball analogy to modern centers and their value in the playoffs. But I'm too tired, and it's not that funny.

    Go Penguins.
