I too, went to East St. Louis. All the guys in my office said beforehand that I should make sure I had a full tank of gas, windows that could all roll up, doors that locked and a vehicle in good running condition. The I got lost looking for a topless bar and stopped to ask for help. Several people went out of their way to direct me back to the Interstate back to Missouri. I guess others have not had this good luck. However, in St. Louis it was a different story. I've never heard the 'N' word used so freely not even in Alabama and Georgia.
Yeah, last November, I walked from the Aqua Marine park through the parks to the Marina district to get to a market. Damn man! It was disgusting.
