The more recent details coming out back up what you're saying. Apparently carrying a concealed unlicensed weapon is grounds for a jail sentence up to 3 years. I doubt he'll face anything near that severe but it does give you an idea of how badly he fucked up. With the official team stance being to wait and see, I think he's probably played his last game with the team. There's talk of deactivating him for the season and I could see Reese wiping his hands clean of this situation over the summer. Peter King made a good point about the way Reese structured Plax's new contract. Very little of it is guaranteed and the Giants could release him without having to pay much of it link). If they deactivate Plax before Dec. 10th, I don't think they even have to pay him all of the $1 million he was in line to earn this season.

I think the one thing that pisses me off the most is that Plax's retardery involved Antonio Pierce. Not sure if you've all heard, but Pierce tried to hide/dispose of the weapon after the incident and has had to get a lawyer of his own now.

Actually I heard the sentencing is between 3-15 years, New York is quite harsh in this regard.
