You are correct on the S word.

I think he'll get a MLE even if he doesn't play again this year - there is always some GM who is willing to take a risk, or some GM that is completely incompetent like Chris Wallace.

How much would the Blazers pay to keep Joel (assuming he wants to stay here)?

I think Przybilla bolts to a playoff team that he can start for. He'd be a great fit in Cleveland, Atlanta, Dallas.

Yeah, so do we trade him? I would think that we could get something decent for Blake/Outlaw/Joel.

I would. By mid-season I think (hope) Greg will learn to stay out of foul trouble.

I'd package Joel with a youngster or two for a PG.

Why a point guard? You don't think Miller is getting the job done? No faith in Bayless?

This is one of the reasons I can't wait for Nate to get the boot.
We just payed two of our guys a gajillion dollars each on large contracts, and Nate has them sitting on the bench. They should be playing atleast 36mins a night each.
It makes me furious seeing LMA sitting on the bench.

Not to mention the yanking of Oden's chain, in/out/in/out during the game. Just let the young man play/learn. FFS.
Nate McVillain please leave my favourite team alone.

I seriously think the guys could coach themselves better under the helm of Miller or Blake as an oncourt player/coach.
The sooner this team sees the end of this clown, the sooner they can ascend to the next level.

WTF are you talking about? LMA averaged 36 minutes a game last season. This year he has played several games over 40 minutes. The games he doesn't get the minutes are blowout games. (Except OKC where he was hurt)

When the Blazers start playing quality teams in which the game is tight or even more so the Blazers trail by 5-10 points, it will be much harder to pull Oden out of the game . . . and then we will see how it plays out and if allowing Oden to foul out of the game is good or bad startegy.

But for now Nate seems to be doing well with this stategy. He admitted it didn't work with Golden State, but there have been a few games where Oden was needed big time in the 4th. He had the energy and foul flexibility to go hard in the 4th.

To those who think you can win the game in the first half or third quarter, I would say Nate is more on track with the convential NBA thinking (players with 4 fouls come out of the game unitl the 4th, because you don't win the game in the 3rd) than the thought of letting GO play till he fouls out or picks up 5 fouls beofre th 4th.

Funny, many think that the coach gets too much credit when a team is wininng and too much blame when a team is losing.

In Ptd, land of the knowledgable and loyal fans, the coach gets the blame whether the team wins or loses . .. or at the very least Nate is not getting too much credit for this record (to say the least) . . .

I wasn't really referring to Miller as I was Steve Flake.

JB is in a bad situation and I really doubt he's going to get a chance in Portland. He has too many things in his way: Nate McMillan and KP's man-crush on Blake.

I'd look at a future replacement for Miller. I'd look at Minnesota for Rubio or Flynn. JP will bolt them too but I think we have a lot of other assets we could throw at them.

What's Greg Oden doing at the Refectory in Portland on thanksgiving night? My buddy works there and says he's sitting there all by himself.

Here we go! Doubt it. Said his mom and family came to town to spend thanksgiving with him. Doubt it.

Well two of my buddies work at the Refectory and one of them just shook hands with Oden. He's not the lying type, maybe Oden felt like being alone for the night or maybe he's meeting up with a new girl lol.

By the way, great video on the amateur golf analyst. Didn't seem like you were taking it too seriously, but it was entertaining anyways.

He'll get his way up to around 30 minutes a game as he learns to stay out of foul trouble.

I love how so many people think they can do a better job than a paid professional on the highest level whose team is winning over 70% of their games. Should we bring Cheeks back? How about Carlisimo? I heard Dunleavy's not the most appreciated man in LA right now.

He can't start for Atlanta. They're very happy with Horford there. In Cleveland, they already have Z and Shaq. Dallas would be a good fit though.

I don't want to lose Joel. It's great having such a good back up center. If Oden plays more mins we can just let Joel play some back up PF mins.

Having Przybilla would allow Atlanta to move Horford back to his natural position at PF with Smith moving to SF.

Big Z is on his last leg and so is Shaq.
