[IMG] that was a bad statement man... but then it means KG21 has to consider #1 too then (sorry TMac and Garnett fans [IMG] ) ... but I think KG can relax this year because I think not only will they pass the first round, but they'll likely get to the conference finals... as for TMAc, he might not even have a chance to prove it this year

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Fishball:</div><div class="quote_post">Actually, I heard it too [IMG] but I've seen a magazine (XXL I think... I forget) that Kobe was quoted as saying that whole ABCD camp and #143 thing... so, which one is the right onw? I honestly don't know </div>

Meh, search around for why Ron Murray's nicknamed 'Flip' and I guarantee you'll find about three or four reasons. Have to get a quote from the player's mouth himself, usually, to trust that sort of thing.

Orlando should have won that series when they were up 3-1, everyone says he had such a bad team but still should have won that one. Gooden and Gordon were playing great for them at the time.

Getting out the first round in the playoffs in the eastern conference isn't hard when you have a superstar on your team.I'm hardly jealous of Mcgrady,I will take Tim Duncan's two rings, finals MVP's,regular season MVP's over what Mcgrady does thanks.

What does Mcgrady actually own apart from a tissue box?

Garnett won't have a problem getting out of round one this season,Mcgrady on the other hand won't even make the playoffs.

I love KG's game and Mcgrady's but T-mac's attuide is what I hate.

I just hate when ppl compare players with their team..kg is my number 2 player after tmac..but with cassell and sprewell around u? u can go really far..tmac's best players around him right now are who? drew gooden and bogans?thats a soph and a rookie! then it will be howard (veteran kinda old) and lue(great player but just not enough)

If I were to ever even compare the two, I wouldn't base it on this year anyway. Obviously Garnett has the better team now, but last year Garnett didn't have a real supporting cast either. Up until this year, like everyone said for years, KG did it all on his own and still got them to the playoffs all those years. Mcgrady's team has struggled to get into the final spot in the EAST every year, and I would give KG the upper hand for that.

Shame you forget to mention Giricek,Howard,Strickland along with Gooden is good enough to make the damn playoffs in the east.Magic aren't winning because Mcgrady is not a winner, leader or a guy who will motivate his team-mates.

KG has been bashed because he can't get out of round one for the last 7 years, however he is playing in the western conference.Whats Mcgrady's excuse? he is playing in the weak east.Every superstar that plays in the east has gotten to at least the 2nd round

    Pierce
    Iverson
    Kidd

    e.t.c

This is has been talked about before,Mcgrady does have decent shooting options,he just doesn't know how to use them the right way.

KG actually wears number 21 because Malik Sealy was one of his favorite players while he was growing up.

    RIP Malik

I did mention howard...rod is good but is getting old..and giricek is not playing great this season.

I know Tracy is not a team leader , magic made the mistake letting darrel armstrong ( now with the hornets) go..he was our leader right now the only guy you could compare with armstrong talking about leadership would be howard.. he is a young veteran with good experience...we did not have what it takes last year either all we need is a 2nd man that always plays good...like grant hill kidd makes ALL players better so no need for 2nd man...Iverson had van horn and snow and pierce walker and mcarthy were killing...

Sam Cassell two favorite players growing up were "Tiny" Nate Archibald & lenny Wilkens. Sam use to wear #10 because it was Nate # when he played with the kings. But when he got to the t-wolves #10 was already taken by Wally so he just took the #19 to represent his other favorite PG Lenny Wilkens, who wore #19 with the Sonics.

Gordan sucks this year, he couldn't hit a shot if his life depends on it. Howard and Gooden are too inconsitent. Yes we definetely should have beat the Pistons last year. Tmac has talent around him this year, yes, but don't give me that "he doesn't know how to use it, bs" Tmac passes a lot. Half the time down the stretch, he doesn't even touch the ball. Lue either fires it up or gives it to Gooden who commits a turnover or bricks it. Darell Armstrong is the key. Tmac isn't a inspirational leader, he's a basketball player. He can't magically make his team hit shots down the stretch. Look at DirtySouth's sig club, GIVE THE DUDE A BREAK PLEASE. GET OFF OF HIS BACK. We already know he couldn't lead the Magic this year. Again I say this, he's having an off year, but he's avg 26 ppg. I wish I could have that off year.

    Just passing doesn't cut it

    Motivation
    Leadership
    Keeping his team-mates confidence up

Is what is meant by using the players you have.

He has the talent around him,why shouldn't people be hard on Mcgrady? He deserves what he is getting. There is no excuse for having a 11-32 record in the east with a supposed Superstar.

lol this season brang Lue , Howard , Bogans , Williams , Pachulia and a few more ALL NEW this season..plus gooden and giricek playing only half the season last year...sometimes chemistry just clicks and is great but sometimes it takes a while..19 games for example..plus more than half of the 19 games losing streak were lost by less than 7 points...(not finishing games) lack of chemistry...

been waiting for this one, thanks aaron [IMG] As for the Magic and TMac, I think he is a great player but he is no leader just look at his work ethic. Some writer wrote that he threw off Doc with his diva-like acts in practices and huddles. He is sure a great player with wtf talent and he may not need practices or team strategy to get his stats every night, but he is not setting a good example esp. for potentially-great future young players like Bogans and Goods. I ain't hating on TMac, the way he plays (makes me feel I can do everything he can do on the court, HE MAKES EVERYTHING LOOK EASY) cat just has too much game to be hated on, but his attitude is honestly bothersome.

I hear that Darius Miles wore #21 till he got traded cuz he wanted to follow in the footsteps of his idol KG. Now he got traded and has to wear #23 cuz #21 is taken by ruben patterson.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting AK1:</div><div class="quote_post">Michael Jordan - picked #23 because he thought that he didn't match up to his brother Larry (#45) so he cut the number in half to #23. Also, if you see he wore #9 in the USA Olympic team because 4+5 =9.
    It's all simple math.</div>

It wasn't so much that he didn't measure up to Larry - he wore 45 when he was on the jayvee. But his first year on the varsity, his junior year of high school, Larry was a senior and still on the team, and had taken 45. So then Mikey cut it down to size.

Magic Johnson - he wore #33 in college, and that had always been his number. When he was drafted #1 in '79 though, the team's superstar, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, had already taken 33 several years earlier, so Magic went one down on him.
