<div class="quote_poster">Quoting 02civic:</div><div class="quote_post">James plays SF this year, SG last year with some PG. He could also play PF.
Jordan played SG true, but he also moved over to SF on occasion and even PF every now and then. One game, i think vs. Jersey he played starting PF and ended up with like 19 rebounds.
Style of play? Why not, early Jordan ran the court, Lebron runs the court. Early Jordan iso'd and beat his man on the dribble...thats how Lebron gets allot of his points. They also both post up smaller players on occasion. Both are excellent at crashing the boards and both use the attention they get, in tandem with their unselfish play and passing skills to set up wide open shooters off the penetration.
If i'm wrong i'm wrong, but i'd like you to tell me how they're different.</div>

Early Jordan was very wirey (sp?) and relied on superb quickness, body control in the air, and long arms to get his shot off. Those Bulls teams actually didn't run that much (relative to most teams in the 80s), and Jordan got the vast majority of his points in half-court sets.

LeBron James is a greater runner and excels in the open floor. He's a gifted passer and in that respect is more like Magic than Jordan. In the half court, LeBron relies more on his size and explosiveness to shoot over players or score in the lane. He doesn't have the same quickness and wirey-body that Jordan had to be able to penetrate virtually at will.

Overall, I see more similarities between early Jordan and Wade than James. In particular, watch Heat games when Shaq goes to the bench and Wade is at SG. The way he plays reminds me so much of Jordan. He doesn't have the length or huge hands that Jordan had, but his athleticism and penetration capabilities are almost identical.

Lebron is the Truth, plain and simple. Incidentally, I think we can strip Paul Pierce of that title until we come up with an original one for Lebron. "The King" is too arrogant a moniker. But the kid just turned 19, and he's running things out east. It's incredible. And I'll be the first to tell people, I did not jump on the LJ bandwagon and I'm not there. But he's good. Forget the Jordan comparisons, he's too young, but his game is real, and consistent, and again, he's 19. He's still a teenager. A year and a month ago, he couldn't vote. This is why people are so excited about him, and I can't blame them anymore now that he's arrived.
