Right now it's definately Shaq, he has four rings and MVP and 3 Finals MVP's. I think it will end up being Dwyane Wade if he gets another title or 2.

He had four seasons of 29+ PER (another that was 27+); and was not a great defender, but still better defensively than most perimeter players.

He didnt have a superstar like Kobe or Wade to carry him when he got out of shape. lol jk its a close one but I gotta go with Timmy.
Tim Duncan. He was the sole leader behind the team's previous championships with a good team behind him. Now he has other superstars alongside him, that's why I don't get how people put the Spurs aside to ever win a title this season.

He may not be the best player but he will definitely be discussed.</div> You have to be frickin kiddin me. I could list 20 players at least who have a better shot than Dwight at being named player of the decade. (As of now, Kobe may take #1, Wade and James rising) 1. Shaq 2. Kobe 3. Duncan 4. Garnett 5. Iverson

just ONE? that's impossible. how about First half of the decade: 1) Shaq 2) Kobe 3) Tim Duncan Second half of the decade: 1) Dwayne Wade 2) Steve Nash 3) ___________ - this spot is open right now......could be LBJ, Dirk IF he wins one, or maybe even Oden if he's as dominant from the start as people think.
Shaq and Tim Duncan are head and shoulders above the rest of the competition if you ask me. Steve Nash could enter the mix if he brings a title to the desert.
Top five of the last decade without question are 1.Shaq 2.Tim Duncan 3. Kobe Bryant 4. Allen Iverson 5. Kevin Garnett
Top 5 Most Successful Players of the decade 1.Shaq(4 rings) 2.Duncan(only 2 in this decade thats why hes #2) 3.Kobe 4.Allen Iverson 5.Kevin Garnett
