Haven't been around the team really this preseason (besides getting my flu shot). Got no idea, but like I've said before.....cant take much away from preseason GOOD or BAD.

I guess it is possible. His nose could be out of joint with all the new additions at SG. But Wes is not the type of guy who would will pout on the court. Once the season starts, if he can go full speed ...then he will. He has too much pride to go half ass.

That's why I love him. He's one of those 120% energy guys. I would love him to stay on this squad. I'm just preparing for, what I believe, is going to happen. It may never happen and I could be full of shit. But if it does, I wouldn't be surprised.

Just the thought of that discussion makes me nauseous. Those advanced stats would be so skewed.

That's what I'm hoping for. It would be really nice to get that marquee wing back. I just don't see one available. I mean there aren't too many star guards out there. There is a reason why we can argue Wes being a top 10 guard in the league right now. There really aren't great guards after kobe, the beard and Wade

Just would be interesting. PER is normalized for PT.

I know , but to me it is kind of like summer league, too many odd combinations on the floor and too early in the season playing with new players to be close to being meaningful......IMO.

Guess who our marquee wing is? Damian Lillard.

The dude might not have the prototypical size of a 2, but he's the same height as Eric Gordon and is an awesome shooting guard. Fortunately for us he's also a great point guard and that gives us a loooot of flexibility on offense.

Also, normalized stats are kinda useless under 1000 minutes played. Players can't even get to a third of that in in pre-season.

I'm thinking we may see a lot of Lillard + Veteran Point Guard Du Jour on our team over the next 4-5 years, and we'll be quite successful with that. Imagine him and Andre Miller together... :sigh:

Stotts seems to favor Mo and Lillard down the stretch over Lillard and Wes.

I would too; Mo and Lillard are both superior ball handlers, more dynamic shooters, and better at setting up other players. Why not have your best out there in crunch time? It's the Jason Terry scenario.

Funny thing about Mo, the last few games I've felt like he wasn't doing that well, and then I look up and he has 17 points. He was 5-13 last night, which isn't great, but we need that offensive punch off the bench. He and Wright are going to make a huge difference this year.

Im sure its hard to tell just in pre-season so far but we really do need that volume shooter off the bench that Mo brings to the team. A guy who can create a little and who isnt afraid to shoot. At the same time I havent yet had that "Crawford" moment where I felt like I was yelling at Mo and thinking, "Why the hell would you take that shot?!?!?"

I agree. I think his shots have been in the flow of the offense, they just haven't been falling for him.

Mo Williams is just like Jamal Crawford and that's ok! We need a gunner off the bench. I'm sure you'll see quite often some questionable shots down the stretch of games, but that's his style.

Yeah i actually like his style. He's a less offensively potent J-Crossover but he's also way lower risk to the flow of our offense. Mo can't really shoot us out of games cuz of his playmaking skills, Crawford can.
