Easy....Aminu was shooting 33% after three games. Great game tonight, but that is 1 game out of 4 on the offensive end.
Now they’re inconsistent and it can game to game, but when Harkless and Aminu give them this type of production on both ends of the court, thats when the Blazers can look like legit contenders.
Every single game in this series you cant fault either on their energy / effort and just being consistent there is a big thing (especially for moe).
Oddly enough I think they both missed a lot of easy shots tonight. What Im more concerned about is what do they do if Dame and or CJ are cold for a whole game. The difficulty of the shots they’re making is insane. I know they’re absolutely special offensive players but thats hard to keep up. Aminu and Moe and really everyone is gonna continue to have numbers and open shots.
I don't care what percentages he has shot. Aminu has made timely shots and has been a total beast around the rim. He is making me eat every bad thing i have said about him over the last couple years. When Aminu shows up the Blazers win games. Right now he is showing up more than not. Same with Harkless.
Next game will be Mo's turn to can some threes. They will leave him open, the fans will be behind him, and he's due Even if he doesn't, his defense on PG has been excellent and that alone earns Mo playoff minutes.
Look at the big picture. In this case, the whole 4 games or even his whole playoff career. His playoff numbers are consistently better than his regular season numbers. This is over many years not just 3 games.
'Big picture', Aminu has shot it much better in the post season than in the regular season. That had not been the case so far this series until Game 4.
Not just shooting. Scoring, rebounding, assists, everything. Look at the first posts of this thread or check basketball-reference. Aminu has stepped it up in playoffs his whole career. But why are we even arguing about this? We won a big playoff game. He played well. Let's enjoy it.
The Big Picture to me is that Aminu, even in regular season, ignoring the notion of "Playoff Aminu" which may or may not be a real thing when it comes to 3-point shooting, is an above average starting PF. He's a huge bargain and he is the type of player (doesn't need to score to be good but can score) that get's more valuable as a team moves closer to championship level.
