If they sweep and the Giants/Cards go 7, they will lose. That much time off with the way they're playing is a recipe for cool down.
That was what was said after they finished sweeping the Angels, but they were able to carry their momentum through the three off days and right into Baltimore. Analyst on the radio tonight likened these Royals and their bullpen to the 1990 "Nasty Boys" Reds. It's an apt comparison. It's almost unfair; they get 9 innings to score, and their opponents basically only get 6. Call me bandwagon if you want, but I'd love to see KC finish this off.
Petit has been amazing out of the pen but I gotta think he gets the game 4 start over vogelsong, guess we will see. Would love if madbum went old school and pitched 1-4-7.
Its weird how Lincecum went from best pitcher in baseball, to just an inning burner in a blowout. Kinda sucks, I was always a big fan of his.
thats gotta be rough for cards/rangers/reds/pirates/nats/phillies/tigers/royals fans, watching the giants march right over you to the promised land. oh and dodger fans. they arent too happy either.
Awwww hellzzzzzz yeahzzzzzzz!!! Giants killed it. 3 in 5! Supremacy in MLB is nice. Just got back from SF. As soon as Pablo caught the ball and rolled on the ground like a Panda in bamboo, I booked hotel and air for my dad and I. We went down to SF for the party and parade and had a grand time. Giants are a solid organization. I once wondered if I'd ever see a Giants WS title in my lifetime, and now we have three in five years; maybe we'll see a Blazers championship someday.
