<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Brian:</div><div class="quote_post">you cant say hes absolute trash. the guy was good (ok) in the regular season and earns his pay. remember, i think it was game 4 or something when he smush had that huge game against nash? he scored, he played D, and everyone was behind him. i think the guy just had a bad night, he just needs to focus more and take his time. he was getting burned all night on D and couldnt make a shot to save his freaking life. oh well, we'll see what happens in game 7</div>

    That was game 3.

In game 4, he had the steal and the big three, other than that he had a horrible game.

In games 5 and 6 he's been horrible. He's not a playoff player. He's a regular season guy.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting TopLake:</div><div class="quote_post">This game finally show why Kobe is the MVP. In the last 8 minutes (3 min of the end of regulation, 5 min of OT), the only scorer for the Lakers is KOBE. When I and my gf (who doesn't watch NBA at all b4) saw smush parker doing 1-on-1 struggling at the final 3 min, kwane Brown lost the ball when trying to get the pass, Walton shot a fade away inside the paint and missed, Odom was invisible in the final min, WTF were they doing?? They can't win a game like that. If it wasn't Kobe hitting the fade away, double team 3 pt, wasn't he doing a few difficult layup and wasn't he breaking up the pass by the Suns, Lakers couldn't even go to OT. And what happened in OT? OT shows up how good the Suns are....they got Diaw, Marion, tim thomas(this guy is insane), Barbosa and of cuz Steve Nash...don't forget the suspended Raja Bell, a good defender with 3pt ability. All those guys are way better than Parker (0/5??!please don't do any 1-on-1), Walton, Brown. Only Odom was doing a decent job, and Kobe was amazing but again...no support from the teammates at the end led to a big loss. Don't say Kobe is the ballhog anymore . When your teammates are struggling, you have to do all the offense by urself. Even my gf (she knows nth about bball [IMG]) thinks the Lakers have only Kobe when watching the game.

This game shows us that if Lakers have no Kobe, I am sure they can't even make the playoff. But if Suns have no Nash, they can still make the playoff as the 7th or 8th seed. Who is the MVP now??

However, I think the future of the Lakers is good after seeing so far in the series. Let all the young players develop and playoff is all about experience.</div>

Actually I would think that last night proved why Steve Nash is the MVP. 32 pts 13 assists. He knows he doesn't always have to shoot to win ball games. He had 3 assists in OT that gave his team great looks.

Why doesn't Kobe trust his teammates? I understand you definetely want Kobe shooting the ball at the end of the games, because he is so clutch, but you have to move the ball around rather than 1 pass to Kobe and let him get double teamed and not pass. Kobe took 4 out of the last 5 shots in regulation and 7 of the 10 OT shots(not counting Devean George's where he got fouled and the shot didn't count, since he went to the line). That's 11 out of the 15 shots, it's obvious that he will get the shot, so the Suns basically only play defense on Kobe down the stretch, because he WILL NOT pass.

Best case scenario for the Lakers is Kobe having between 20-30 pts tomorrow night and not taking 35 shots. When Kobe takes a lot of shots, they just can't beat the Suns, because he will miss jump shots, which mean long rebounds and Suns running and when the Suns run, it's not good for the opposing team.

When Kobe puts up 25 shots against the Suns this year, the Lakers are 1-4(the 1 win was 2nd to last game when Nash and Raja Bell didn't play). When he shoots 25 or less, the Lakers are 3-2 against the Suns.

There's a lot garbage in this thread and it leads to nothing, but fighting amongst members, baiting, and personal attacks.

Comments during the game are usually posted out of emotion and quick replies without much thought put into them. Those are fine and everyone just needs to keep them in perspective.

The problem is the post-game comments from Laker and Non-Laker fans. This is a forum for intelligent discussion.

If you want to criticize the Lakers and/or Kobe, please provide some substance to your opinion. Posting ...

Kobe sucks hahaha Game 7 Lakers are done

This is childish and not welcome here. People who post that are just here to bait and piss people off.

Laker Fans, if you see posts like this, please contact Shapecity, The Black Mamba or the Admin Drop Box and we will take care of it. Or you can contact a moderator online, Moderators are members who have <font color=""Blue"">Blue </font>usernames.

Making a smartass remark back doesn't accomplish anything, it just escalates the original trash posted on the board.

Same goes for the other way around.

    I hate Steve Nash, he's a chump.

Laker Fans we have a Rant area for these type of comments. Don't post them in the Public Laker area.

For non Laker fans or Laker fans who hate these immature posts, again contact the staff and we'll handle it. Please don't get baited into starting a fight with other members.

If you got this far, thanks for reading and hopefully you respect the board and the other members on here.

    Thanks.

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> I never called Nash a crybaby and you failed to prove me wrong.</div>
<- thinking he was trying to quote me since me and him went back and forth for quite some time. So please stfu with these stupid ass insults to my intelligence, calling me ignorant when you haven't even met me before.

Now that I reread it I realize that he wasn't just indicating toward me but rather the whole laker fans and those he quoted. I was steamed yesterday after losing money and losing another game, I wasn't reading things thoroughly so for you to call me ignorant for making a mistake AND for never meeting me in real life shows me your a true ass clown

I don't know where those quotes came from but whoever said them is pretty lame. I don't keep up with justbball that much I just visit the Lakers forum every once and a while and gaze through other forums. I accept the fact that I was wrong and that there were people who called Nash a crybaby. Like I said before I don't keep up with everyones posts as some people do....*cough* I was basing my post on what I knew which was apparently wrong.

Getting my rant out of me, all I have to say on Smush is this. You people weren't calling him garbage when he had the clutch plays at the end of game 4, you weren't calling him garbage during game 3. To call him that now is not thinking it through. The guy has provided what he can, this is his first playoffs, hell Kobes clutch shots were the first he's seen in a real life game from what he said. The playoffs are obviously taking there mental toll on him. He isn't garbage nor is he great. I personally like him and hope he is back next year....I just hope he improves some aspects of his game such as his D,and his freethrows.
