Game Thread PLAYOFFS: ROUND 1, GAME 1: PELICANS @ BLAZERS - APRIL 14, 2018, SATURDAY, 7:30 PM PDT, ESPN & NBCSNW

Did you guys know the last and only time we've swept a four game series was 1977?? Last time we swept Best of 5 was 1999.

GO BLAZERS! Start this series off with a win!

I say Blazers in 5 or 6. I erred on the side of caution and selected 6.

 

With the exception of the Boston game, we've taken care of business at home in games we should win after the 7-10 start.

Kind of meaningless cuz two of the games were with Cousins and without Mirotic.

 

I would say Cousins is more valuable than Mirotic.

 

Cousins is a loser.

There are pluses and minuses to him. I just think he's a better overall player.

 

There will b e live music outside by the fountain among other things.

 

What kind of music?

 

The do have some back-court length. Rondo is the X-factor for them. The Bulls were destroying the Celtics last year until Rondo went out. He can't shoot a lick but knows how to run an offense and can be a defensive factor. Hopefully, he is of little consequence.

 

Probably Hit explosion or something. Cover music. Not sure though. I just know because my company bent some parts for the stage.

 

Cover band.

 

Cover used to mean they charged a cover charge. I don't see fans paying any cover charge. And how would you discern fans that just wanted to wander around until the doors open or until they could meet up with someone from fans willing to pay? Nope, I've gotta be wrong and cover now means something else.

 

I'm not going just to have @SlyPokerDog push me into the fountain.
