    This quote makes me sad:

"I want to be in the playoffs. It's crazy to say I don't want to play. I just need to be smarter. The team is right. I need to be more watching the future."

Sounds like we've seen the last of Nurk this season.

How is this quote indicative of anything?

So many of you have taken quotes and said its indicative of him coming back as well as being done...

I think Stotts used his timeouts really well in game one.

He's saying the team (NO, PA, CMc) doesn't want him to play. And if they don't, he won't. What could possibly change in 3 days?

He could've very well been talking about him wanting to play in game 1 &2 and being held out till games 3 & 4.

My OP was referring to Mo, who was 1 for 6 in G1, rite after he "won" his half million. You don't see the correlation between takin your job seriously and results. Fair play.

It's funny for you. I have way more fun when we play good basketball (and with HUNGER - yes) and eventually win some games.

A lot of things. He's fine, but no 100 percent. He will play game 3, he is doing fine right now and is the right decision have him back in the next game. We need him good.

Nurkic being out again is such an anti-climax. I was excited about the game but cannot get myself to hope for anything better than a close fought loss knowing that he's out. I know he would not have beaten Warriors single handedly anyway and it's not even the case of him being so amazing, it's a case of his replacements being so much worse than him it's impossible to have a proper game against Warriors without him. If we were replacing him with someone remotely capable of having a good game at the center, then yes, but Vonleh is not even a center and Meyers is awful. The drop in quality is perhaps even bigger than it'd be if we had to let Lillard or CJ not play as then Crabbe or Turner jump in.

I could not agree more. I think the same thing... But, IF DURANT NOT PLAYING, we might have a little chance.

If Durant does not play, Thompson has an off game again, Draymond does not have a spectacular game again and Curry has a similar game as he had the last time out (good game, let's be serious, they are not all going to suddenly suck), and both CJ and Dame have spectacular games as they had last Sunday, then we maybe, maybe have a chance. Problem is that us having a chance is reliant on so many 'ifs'. Even last Sunday it still felt like we were going to lose the game even when we approached final quarter with 88-88 on the scoreboard. It was just a matter of when they'd turn the God mode on and ultimately steal it.

Game 3 will be different though. The Moda Center atmosphere, possibly Nurkic back, we'll more than match them here. I think if we could somehow steal both games 3 & 4, then they'll feel pressure in game 5 which we could use to our advantage. We need an absolute miracle to get anything out of this series though.

I hope Durant plays. If he does we can win without Nurkic.
Our best inside option is Meyers, regardless of your disappoinment of him, we need him to win this. Then hope Vonleh does OK and Stotts only uses him against their weaker lineups and most importantly - chief.
Chief, if he has a wide open 3, shoot it. Maybe he doesn't hit anything, nevermind, take the next open 3 as well. That's the biggest key to the game. Move Harkless to PF as well, he is dependable, you know what you get, and he's a solid player.
Then we use Turner and Crabbe only (I wish 'only' but knowing Stotts I would settle for 'mostly') at SF. And for god sakes, CJ, trust the other players a little more, if you're playing with Napier don't look at him like "what are you doing with my ball", he has an NCAA championship which is more championships than anyone on this team. Give big game Pat some PT as well, he did good the first game

Vonleh at center is our only option. Meyers will get eaten alive out there.

One Portland morning radio guy has been repeatedly advocating for Meyers to play whenever Pachulia is in, suggesting that that is the only matchup in which he can be mildly effective.

I'm not sure if he's talking about MyLe or ZaZa...
